The thing is, The OWCA Files aired that September, Milo Murphy’s Law premiered the next October, and then season 2 started rolling out internationally over 2018 before it hit the US in January 2019, Candace Against the Universe was announced that April. And unlike Steven Universe remains a presence on linear TV. It has never left Disney XD in its entire existence under this name

I feel like as the owner of one of these machines that I am required to tell the internet of the existence of the “Perry-oke” machine. It’s a karaoke machine shaped like Perry the Platypus and it is one of the most amazing things ever.

Fun fact: there is a less known version of the game across the 2nd dimension and is completely different it doesn’t rely super heavily on the movie (besides the final level) you can play a Perry you can switch between all characters at any time and there are costumes that are callbacks to some of the episodes of the show.

I’ve had the phineas and ferb: into the second dimension game on the Wii for as long as I can remember and it is so nostalgic to me, even though I play it yearly. I just realized while typing this, that the only time I’ve ever beaten the game with my mom so long ago that I barely remember it. Guess I know what I’m doin tonight. Not only do we have the original songs to enjoy, but I cannot stress enough how incredible some remixes of the ridiculous bops from a kids' show are! Platypus Controlling me crossed with My Shot (from Hamilton) is honestly such an unironic repeat play.

Speaking as someone who got into Phineas & Ferb from the very start, I caught Rollercoaster when it first aired in August 2007, I kid you not I remember that day so very well because I was stuck in a hotel room & watched it against my will but thankful I did because I fell in love with the series, gotta say that this was great but there's stuff kinda missing like I get you touched on the topics since you needed to condense it into a watchable size video but I was nearly 16 when the show first aired, I'm 29 & turning 30 this September so this show isn't a childhood memory to me, it's something I got into as a teen & love into my adult years. When it comes to stuff that came out around the show, I was there & experienced it & it stuck in my mind. I even went & saw that traveling stage show they did meant for small kids, this one child who sat next to me smelled like he needed a diaper change, that's how young the target audience was but I didn't care, I had to see this thing live & glad I did, those costumes are terrifying in person. As far as the soundtracks go, I bought the first one when it was released & listened to that thing constantly. I still used my CD player for years, actually didn't upgrade to a smart phone until 2016 & didn't understand how my mp3 player or ipod worked so I was content with sticking with my CD player. I would listen to that soundtrack as I traveled on the bus & various places. Yeah, it's got songs from the show but they're great songs so definitely worth it. Now if you want some P&F music you haven't heard, let me turn your head towards the holiday soundtrack, the one with Perry on the cover tangled in Christmas lights. I listen to this thing constantly during Christmas time. It starts off with the music from the Christmas Vacation episode but that's like the first half of the album, the second half contains songs that came in the series later on in the Family Christmas Special but before that aired, these songs were not found in the series. There are still songs that never made it into the series such as their take on the 12 Days of Christmas which I HIGHLY recommend a listen, seriously, listen to it, Doofenshmirtz in that song is priceless. Also can recommend one of my personal favorites, Perry Saves Christmas which is a parody of Frosty the Snowman which is sung by Major Monogram telling the story of when Doofenshmirtz almost unintentionally destroys Christmas but Perry saves the day. This song is so amazing that it could of been its own episode but glad it stayed as a song because it's just so meta, I can't give away too much because you do not want this spoiled, trust me, this song is worth it. My mom even loves this song, I'll sometimes play the album in the car during the holidays & my mom will always press the button to replay Perry Saves Christmas a few times when it gets to that song, she just can't get o'er it. So yeah, you want some new P&F content, that Christmas album has some. For a bonus, also look up the Elf Police, it's a cut song sung by Buford, I'll also listen to that a few times during the holidays, it's a shame it never found use because it is an original Christmas song as in it's not a parody of any existing Christmas songs like the bonus songs on the Christmas album are, the original ones being from the show itself. It sounds great, you'd think since it's Buford that it might not be so great but you'd be wrong. In regards to the DS games, I bought both but never played them, I think I opened the first & started reading the instructions because my dad made some joke about reading the instructions before playing so I was stubborn & wanted to read them through before playing but I lost track of my place & just never played it & then I outright kept the second one sealed, not in mint condition given it has the stench of cat pee, I assume my cats got ticked at me for whatever reason & decided to spray the shelf I had it on? Honestly don't know. With that, I couldn't tell you the experience of playing the games as an young adult when they were new but kicking myself over not playing them even though they were nothing special. Whenever I get my stuff out of storage, I could see how they play through the eyes of a person in their early 30's. I still have my DS Lite & 3DSs so I have plenty of options for playing the games. The toys are something I didn't take too much part in collecting..... I say this as I hide my massive Perry the Platypus collection. I have like 6-ish Perry the Platypus plush toys, this includes my Perry whoopie cushion which is a plush that farts. Yes, this thing exists & yes, I bought it because I must have all of the Perry. I funnily enough didn't get the Perry plush with him in his superhero getup because I didn't have the money for it when it was available but I did buy a HUGE Perry because it was 75% off & I had a Disney Store gift card at the time so I essentially got it for free since I got the gift card as a gift. I like plush, they made a lot of Perry plush. Ever since seeing the episode Get That Bigfoot Out of My Face, with the girl Doofenshmirtz met online obsessing over Perry, I really wanted my own plush of him & did make my own Perry necklace using Shrinky Dinks but it wasn't enough, I needed a plush so when they launched the very first one, I asked my mom to get it for me for Christmas & this Christmas, man, it was ICY! Where I lived, we got a ton of rain typically but not so much as snow so the people there aren't use to the snow so much. This year in particular, we had snow & freezing rain so it was all slippery & nobody wanted to drive it so the presents were delivered pretty darn late & most of what I opened were IOUs which were fine because the best present was there, Perry the Platypus. He was like the one physical present I got that year & I cherish that plush. It's the one where you squeeze the paw & it makes the Perry sound, the very first one they released & among the early run of them since my mom was on top of ordering it for me. There was a lot of merch for P&F, I have some odd things here & there that range from stationary to pins to candy. Oh yeah, there was this Fun Dip knockoff, I forget the brand name but they're actually better than Fun Dip, they flavor the dipping stick as vanilla, it's great. Anyways, during Valentine's Day, they released Phineas & Ferb ones which I bought like 4 boxes of & I handed them out to all my friends on Valentines, I was in high school & there wasn't like any exclusive event or anything where you were forced to give out anything to students but I've always been a giving person so I wanted to hand one out to everyone who meant something to me & I kept the rest for myself. I swear it took me years to get through it & I actually still have some left to this day but I had a bug infestation so I don't dare eat it but I have one of the boxes still to use as decoration. Same goes for the P&F mac & cheese, I kept a box for decor reasons. The bugs kinda reproduced inside that box so I had to throw out the food that was inside. Alright so maybe I have a slight collecting problem when it came to Phineas & Ferb but there was like so little merch for my favorite show Danny Phantom so I kinda poured my collecting energy into P&F. You lightly touched on the books, I only had 1 copy of Phineas & Ferb magazine, still do have it, I was going to subscribe to it but I was too lazy. Bought my copy at Barnes & Noble. It's fun, it's a Christmas edition & I enjoyed reading through it but it's been years, I should take a look at it again. I remember there being comics inside that detailed other adventures so I guess it's safe to assume the other issues of the magazine probably has comics outside of the series so if you can track these down, they might be worth a read. I have a hard time recalling something I read multiple times over so take that recommendation with a grain of salt because clearly, it might not be all that but might be worth putting some energy to looking into.

From the "Phineas and Ferb" cast appearing in a big "Milo Murphy's Law" crossover, Perry and Doof remaining regulars on the show and the new movie, it looks like Disney are also pretending Phineas and Ferb isn't over.

Phineas and Ferb is *that* show for me (the one I put on by default.) This summer actually marks ten years of my being a fan. Milo Murphy is severely underrated, and I really enjoy it (and wish for a S3.) But imo, nothing can quite match the unique magic of Phineas and Ferb.

I would think if they continue the show they could go with something like it's past the original show's epilogue but we get to see the next generation i.e. Phineas and Ferb's future kids doing exactly what Phineas and Ferb did as kids during the summer kinda thing while exploring the future lives of Phineas and Ferb.
