Going through the first portion of the game you are tasked with either killing or letting go a volunteer who impedes your progress. Here are both options.
Arkane's Prey is a re-imagining of the original 2006 Prey developed by Human Head Studios. While Prey 2, a sequel to the 2006 game, had been planned, it fell into development hell following transfer of the intellectual property from 3D Realms to Bethesda Softworks, and eventually canceled in 2014.

I unlocked the armory another way, and he was so desperately sad his only bargaining chip was gone. I had to let him live. Then a phantom killed him.

@@imperialplebian2547 if he's stunned then the Phantoms and mimics won't attack him but if he's there just standing in the open they'll try to kill him. Which is funny cause it's easier to attack a unconscious person than a conscious one for a mimic.

The mimics can find him, you have to protect him, I just put a turret outside his armory and locked it, then glooed the small armory window up, and voila, he is saved.

I released him. I figure in an emergency situation, especially against an existential threat, you gotta stick together. I had all the power, so there wasn't a way he could betray me. Like he said, some basic human decency.

It’s not even mimics lol it’s how they make neuromods from people. They feed people to the typhon the dna mixes & they kill the typhon turn the exotic parts in neuromod goo & bam now you have some one the memory’s of the previous dead guy including skills …….

@👁 Considering the report didn't even bother mentioning his birthplace, which in turn is trying to make it easier for the person alienate the guy. Futhermore Have you played the game? You have a choice to blow up or use a nullwave to remove the typhon in the station, but let's say for argument sake do you want to get vaporized with a quick death or do you want a mimic to shove appendage down your throat and rapidly devouring your nutrients and consciousness?

The volunteer program and D class personnel on SCP are similar both are criminals used for experimentation.

Volunteers were taken from Gulags in Soviet Union (remember that USSR still exists in Prey timeline). Most of prisoners were uncomfortable for communists so they were judged for crimes they've never did. Ingram is imo 100% clean like father of Mikhaila (He was Ukrainian - Soviet Union territory). So killing him is the worst option if Im right. But remember that Ingram is warning you about other guys like him (Volunteer known as Will Mitchell).

I simply didn’t complete the quest. It kinda reminded me of one of the morality (trolley) questions at the beginning of the game I neither released him, nor killed him His situation was neither better nor worse for my having been there Also boltcastered to get in the room But seemed like the best option Didn’t think he should be let loose, but didn’t think my protagonist would murder him either

I did the same as you make a save and see what happens but if it was my first choice I would have saved him. I didn't need the code as i "mimiced" my way in thought the hole in the security shield turning into small objects is incredibly useful

i had the mimic in the tube ... but i clould not do it. exotic material isn't even that rare in the game ... mineral material is always short. i'm not thru the game yet but i beleve i only choose the "right" desicion

If you spare him after open the armery door he will just stay in there, you need to wait until himself give you the code to open the door and get incide, so he will follow youn and stay hice on the armory, where is safe

I killed him after reading the evidence 🤷🏾‍♂️ probably the 1 thing that would make me do it, and didn't another version of Morgan do testing on people like Mikaila's dad who ended up dying? This experiment is basically what he was doing for his research and I wouldn't have doubted if Morgan selected him.

If you kill him and re open the doors, a weaver will appear and create a new enemy. I was able to scan both new enemy and weaver. You do not have to fight the weaver in that encounter

The times when I let engram live I had activated the turrets, glooed the window shut and locked the door. So why was he dead or gone when I backtracked? Did he walk in front of a turret shooting Typhon? My game could have been glitched? I like to think he found a way off, and that his crimes were exaggerated.

Isn't it pretty clear that isn't true at all? In the Prey universe the USSR never dissolved and still continues it's pratice of gulags and making people disappear. It's pretty clear through Aaron's words and other documents you find that Aaron is just one of many people that were framed. You shouldn't believe someone is a pedo just because other person (in this case a state) told with no proof at all.

I didn't think much of prey, it has alot of shortcomings for me. This however was interesting to me, in real life I am against the death penalty. I was going to save him inspite the fact he obviously deserved to die. He started talking about the girls and I decided at that moment to kill him. I don't like the way the game haphazardly judges you for every like thing and even though I liked that it was a bit hamfisted. It describes that decision as objectively cruel at the end but I'm not sure it was. One of the biggest problems about the game for me was the ending. Forget about the fact that every decision you made in the game was pointless on several different levels but Alex and the others stand there in judgement of you even though they are objectively sone of the most vile human beings that have ever lived. Some people will thing the irony is cool or whatever but it's a problem for me. Just like about 80 percent of the game for me I just think it was a bit off.

That ambiguous child molester was to me, the proof that arkane was in decadence. Russophobia, and then a very poorly portrayed child molester, in a very very ambiguous way, where he is anguished, the victim, and even self critical. All you cant expect from a real criminal. When i encountered this character, i just pictured him as a leader of a human trafficking gang and automaticlally forgot about ambiguity. The thing is, Prey is not a bad game, it is just showing sings of overexploitation and so so quality, unfinished textures, not a great story, because it hasnt got happy endings, false moral choices, and it makes you waste a LOT of time.
