In this video, I'll be talking about Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal. I think this will be part a Genndy Tartakovsky Primal Review & part a philosophical deep dive into the cruel beauty of life and how it can affect everything in your life, even your mental health.

Well I wouldn’t call nature cruel. Nature is violent but not cruel. Animals have a reason for doing violent things. Nature seems cruel because of our modern human sensibilities
@TheMeaningOfNerd
@TheMeaningOfNerd 2 года назад
Exactly, it's only cruel from a human perspective. Nature itself simply is. It knows no good or bad, nor kind nor cruel. But then again, seeing Cruelty itself, is something that only works from a human perspective in the first place. But then again, everything we talk about is from a human perspective since humans are the only beings we know of that can even talk about topics. So I didn't elaborate on that in the video bc I didn't think it to add any value, but you're completely right of course🙏

I don't think Fang (or Phang as I sometimes spell her name) is a T-Rex she is a different dinosaur. Phang is to small to be a T-Rex. That's what I heard from Alteori I think it was say. Alteori also discuss Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal. She did a few times.

Spier (Spear) and Phang (Fang) embraced the Super Super cruel reality of their world or just life but not before they fought. Or Spier got annoyed by Phang. In episode 2 of season 1.
@TheMeaningOfNerd
@TheMeaningOfNerd 2 года назад
I saw that theory too. I just went with the official Data, where it says that she's a T-Rex.

Hey Vegetarians, at least our food verbalizes when it suffers. You can live in ignorance and ignore the distress of your own food 😜 Doctor Jordan Peterson does cover the importance of suffering in his talks.
@TheMeaningOfNerd
@TheMeaningOfNerd 2 года назад
😂😂😂 Yeah, most people try to rid the world of suffering, without realizing that it's only through suffering that life grows & prospers. & the Vegetarian MORAL argument never made sense to me whatsoever. Regardless of what you eat, you are eating a life. Whether you are aware of its suffering shouldn't matter then for the moral argument. After all: You need to consume life, in one form or another, to keep on living

@@TheMeaningOfNerd the anime Psycho Pass brings up that without suffering or stress, society becomes dull and complacent, easily lead and reacts poorly to anything that actually causes stress because they lost all defenses against it, similar to over sheltering cripples an immune system.

At that point I wonder if Spear (or Spier as I sometimes spell his name to make it more like a name than a object) anyway I wonder if Spier doesn't know what he is feeling because he is a cave man and doesn't understand the feeling he has there at 2:22. I don't think Spier understands suicide. Or maybe he does.

@TheMeaningOfNerd
@TheMeaningOfNerd 2 года назад
That's a good point to consider. As a caveman, would he even understand the concept of suicide? It's something I hadn't considered, thanks for the insight 🙏🏽 Also, I too am excited for the new season! It should've been out already but maybe this year
@GloomGaiGar
@GloomGaiGar 2 года назад
The fact that he tries it shows sentience and a level of understanding. An animal with low intelligence would simply carry on and make more offspring. Some intelligent mammals do show some sort of mourning but they can't override the self-preservation instinct to even attempt suicide.
