during priming of ten sashes for my garden apt,I lined them on the floor leaning them against the brick wall outside on the deck,a tarp to catch drips,a small bench so I could do the work sitting down, after 4 windows, I rinsed out the brush, letting it dry while I used a new brush for clean edges, pleasant work, common it is for homeowners who paid a few hundred for painting a room,,, painting the window ropes always happens,,homeowner is informed,,windows are painted shut,,then sqwawks about extra time/money to open the hatch rehang with new rope
Very generous of you to share your talents here. Would you mind clarifying which surfaces are not primed and painted? Does this directive apply to all types of windows as well (casement, single hung, picture, new and old work)? Thanks
Don’t paint parts where sash touches casement (sides , bottom of lower , top of upper) , don’t PRIME glazing - I don’t think this is ever said in the videos , he mentioned it in a comment of one of the paint videos.
