Prime inc trucking Epic truck driving skills pulling tankers in my semi truck! Truck Driving Hacks! Garming DEZL OTR1010 installation. OTR trucking life as a tanker driver in the united states. #trucking #primeinc #tanker
If your thinking of coming to Prime Inc or want to get your CDL license. I honestly believe Prime is a solid company to start your trucking journey. Make sure when you fill out the online application @ www.primeinc.com put my driver code STREXA on page 2 of the application when it ask who referred you. Thanks for watching my video 🙂 To ALL the haters and snakes...... go kick rocks!
I normally don't comments on videos. But i have to admit, your context and the way you edit where the viewer can easily imagine being there driving the truck. I have seen many drivers vlogs but you do yours very good
'Trucking With Rex' are the best and most informative trucking videos on RU-vid. Many trucking vlogs are just a lot of random talking with only occasional bits of information sprinkled in. Here we get a ton of useful information throughout the vlog about day-to-day trucking including thorough and clear explanations of trip planning, reporting information on drops and pickups, trailer washes, documenting trailer damage, breakdown of pay, hours of service etc. etc. It would be even better if at some point you could add timestamps so viewers can zoom in to a particular topic you are explaining and they want to learn. Even without timestamps, these vlog presentations are excellent and a much-needed resource! Much appreciated!
Rex, always always always do a tug test when you hooking to a trailer of any kind... never pull out with out a tug test to make sure the jaws are secured to the king pin. Paul...former trucker
May I add to that comment, always look for daylight or space between the fifth wheel plate and the trailer. Just because the jaws are locked does not always mean the kingpin is not seated.
Rex.. I also highly suggest carrying a 75foot long air hose that hooks up to your red gladhand(push your red trailer brakes in to provide air for the tires after you turn your truck on) so you can air up your tires from the steers to drives and trailer tandems...I alo recommend carrying a set of heavy duty jumper cables since your pulling tankers ..that generator should have a 12volt battery on it.. this is a back up incase your truck battery dies
Stopping before you back completely under to get out and double check the height is a good habit too. It may not be as bad with tankers, but I've encountered a few reefers that were lifted too high and I had to lower before I could hook them.
Loving the new angles and consistent informative content. Graduated from CDL School Saturday, and headed for Schneider for at least a few months, but really considering Prime for my first move.. I just want the early experience from Schneider.
Love all kinds of travel videos. Always looking for tips and tricks on how everyone else’s has various set ups. I’m not a trucker or a camping car/van nomad. Just love long distance driving when i can. Try to be completely self reliant. Anyways, enjoying the vids
Notice the line over the makes it Deezel & not Dezzel🤣 I'm sorry bro i swear I'm not one of those guys that love to point out other people's flaws🤣 but i just couldn't let that one slide😁 But you did spring for the top of the line model💰👍🏿
Love you editing and angles, what is the organizing bag on your passenger seat called? Also, all dog ears have to be tightened down it’s 350 per loose dog ear on a dot inspection FYI.
It's the small things that gets us truckers excited about the road. You honestly have to love being on the road and in the truck. If you don't your life will be miserable and I suggest you get into another profession. Stay safe buddy 🙏🏼 Like the content brother
@@truckingwithrex Gotcha…well, like I said, I really enjoy watching your videos. I honestly feel like I’m ridin shotgun every time I watch. Just be safe out on our roads brother. I hope you always make it safely to all your destinations
Hello there, I was wondering if you had any information about the pay structure at Prime, specifically whether it's weekly or monthly. Also, I'm curious to know how much truckers typically make on average per month at Prime. I'm considering a career change and looking into trucking opportunities with them, so any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.
Most of the time I pulled smooth bore tanks with a manual transmission. How is it to pull them with an automatic? If you came out of that place in Mattoon and drive west about an hour you would be 2 blocks north if my house
Hey Rex my wife and I are considering going to prime and joining the tanker food division, would you recommend it? Also within the food division are most of the loads located out east? If you’re free we would love to ask some more questions privately, thank you in advance!
No pay for orientation, prime loans you $200 a week, provides hotel etc. after you get you actual license and start TNT training, prime will deduct your paycheck $25 per week til balance is paid back. Hope this helps! 🤞🙏
@@truckingwithrex how long do you stay out before taking home time? I know it’s different when you’re lease. I’m looking to just be a company driver since I don’t have much experience.
Awesome! I didn’t get footage or record the loading process here at pet solutions just recorded a few clips that would go into 1 of my videos yes. Thanks for stopping bye ✌️
Nice vest and shirt. What make and model of knife do you carry. It looked pretty sweet. Plus what kind of gear do you everyday carry on your person. Might be time for a pocket dump for all of us gear whores out here. Stay safe and blessed bro. Peace.
Check the 5h wheel jaws? Dont you do a tug test each & every time you back under a trailer? You should lest you leave the trailer sitting out in an intersection somewhere. 1set the trailer brakes 2release the tractor brakes 3give the trailer a gentle TUG. If you are locked to the trailer it will not go. If it does-fix it. !
That Qualcomm should be launched out the window into the ditch! GoPro should be hooking you up instead of having to purchase their equipment that doesn't last as long as it should!
Why in the world would you put your seatbelt on while on customer property your not going to be going fast enough to need it. Also how in the world can you not even acknowledge that awesome k100? 🤦♂️
