What I love about the Alexandrite tech is that Revolver, when he was a child, used to play a Dragon deck that included Alexandrite Dragon, making everything go full circle. Oh, and he was running Dragon Ravine back then, guy was ahead of us.
@@zawarudogaming3961 Alexandrite was like, the Light and Darkness dragon structure (late synchro era if I remember right). Not quite a Yugiboomer. Like, a Yugimillenial or a Yugioh X'er at the latest.
@@zawarudogaming3961it wasn't that uncommon to see those, like didn't people also use them in arc v, decks were strong even back then, but they weren't negate focused
Just a heads up for anyone here who made it to the end! Imperial checks for all monsters your opponent has that shares Type OR Attribute, not necessarily both. And technically, White Duston is already a Light Fiend Normal Monster that you could cycle into (though the OCG exclusive lv4 one is better).
I believe that the primite engine could have semi-decent synergy with the normal monster focused dinosaur support that came out in wild survivors, i haven't seen anyone testing it out though.
Man this is the support that Phantasm Spiral needed, thank you i've been waiting for the Primite (formerly known as Primoredial) for months so i'm happy to have new ways to improve my Phantasm Spiral deck
Hey I just wanted to point out some things MBT kind of got wrong about Imperial Dragon or expand some info about it so people don't get the wrong idea and maybe learn something new. 1st. Imperial Dragon's negation is specifically a "currently" full negate which I mean is it only negates the currently face up monsters ur opponent controls which means if they put their monster face down or leave the field the effect is still resolved. 2nd and most importantly the banish effect, IMPERIAL DRAGON DOES NOT NEED TO MATCH BOTH ATTRIBUTE AND TYPE ONLY ONE OR THE OTHER so it doesn't matter if the normal monster you use is a light fiend or not if you use an earth fiend you can still banish a whole yubel board because they match with the fiend type. As well the card texts read verbatim "Banish all monsters your opponent controls with the same type or attribute as a normal monster in your GY" so a funny thing you can do is as long as your fiend target is in your GY it doesn't matter which normal monster you tribute for imperial Dragon's effect you can still use that fiend as a part of the banish effect. Have a good day or night everyone
seems sick, actually can't wait to play this along with the new gladiator beast support, i mean almost every glad build under the sun has clung to Unexpected Dai for basic combo support, and now I can dig up a second Andal for a final fusion before passing, with that new busted field spell I think we can cook
I love the Primite Archetype. I play them with Metalmorph and Red-Eyes. They have unexpected synergies with each other because the red-eyes geminis are considered normal monsters.
To be fair RE phantasm specifically it would be fine if 90% of the played phantasm cards werent either worsened or straight up unplayable with the mere concept of an effect monster on your board
The Primite engine is cool, but I think it will take more than just making better cards to fix the fundamental issue of a normal monster. The problem with normal monsters in modern Yugioh is that they do nothing when drawn. I think they need to change the rules surrounding Normal monsters to give them an edge over effect monsters and the card Instant Fusion is the way forward. I think normal monsters should not only not require tributes, I think they shouldn’t even count torwards your 1 normal summon for the turn. This opens up so many possibilities as essentially for the cost of not having an effect you can play extenders to either lay the beatdown on the opponent or enable extra deck plays without breaking the game the way you would if you got a second normal summon for anything. I will preach this until it happens because if they can change the rules for field spells they can do it for normal monsters
i just wanna say, had the Earth Machine player NOT activated their harvester that they summoned off urgent schedule (why did they do this), that game would have gone very differently. They screwed the pooch on that one.
They threw when they started with urgent schedule instead of foolish. C1 foolish c2 nat beast c3 urgent schedule c4 droplet sending foolish and urgent schedule on field and still sending regulus to hit all 3 to resolve the talents unless you baited out the shien on the urgent schedule then you can send rivalry instead which is much better keeping the regulus to play through more interruption.
Ive had fun with the normal trap (and to a lesser extent the 6) in Paleo brews, since the paleos are considered normals on board, the trap can be dumped from deck, and the snatch effect also isnt opt.
What I've learned from this video is that Primite is good as an E-Tele engine and one (1) interaction, but only for decks that can theoretically benefit off of a vanilla monster getting E-Tele'd
Chamberlain was one of my favourite cards in grade school just for the artwork and big ass, I never would have guessed to see it experimented with in the year of our lord 2024.
primite (and the metalmorph cards) makes red-eyes something resembling playable, it's great! now i just need them added to MD, and dragoon unbanned there...
There is a cool 60 card HERO list enabled by the primite cards, that uses their support to cheat out fusion materials (especially Neos), and acces board breaking tools. I think it topped a YCS or something (orat least runner-up).
7:03 I am not exactly a good dlink player but couldn't you have used lubellion earlier to recycle striker and do a more natural line than what seems a struggle to get seals ip fullmetal and primite. After quick launch, summon absorouter, use lubellion, tribute absorouter to get regained + rokket, striker eff for boot sector, make romulus with striker and lubellion, magnamhut banish striker and recycle, make seals with romulus and magnamhut, use boot sector for rokket, pop boot sector for the pisty line now with seals and 3 level 4 or lower dragons, use ravine for black metal dragon and do the same except now you can get borrelend too
I was just thinking the other day "I wish they still printed random normal monsters for archetypes like they did in GX" and lo and behold, stocks on those exact normal monsters is higher than ever.
Playing only 13 handtraps in a 50 card dragon link deck is pretty crazy. Unless you draw fuwalos it is unlikely any of the other handtraps will accomplish much unless you get really lucky and manage to still open 2 or more
That EM player gifted you that game. Summoning Dozer instead of Trencher and activating the negated Harvester were the 2 biggest mistakes. Dude could’ve killed you twice over and not had to pray on TTT draws
I like that at least some of the archetype design going forward is about making engines that bolster old strategies, giving them recursion or extension without just printing them a floodgate and calling it support.
We missed out on one of the greatest vanillas of all time(well, not really in the best deck though) "Check THIS out!" Well,White Duston fits the bill for Fiendsmith, idk how to feel about that, but eh,the engine is bad into Fuwaloss
feels weird seeing a semi-low to the ground six sam list after 13 years of watching it be the big monster combo deck to end all big monster combo decks
So the text on edopro for lordly lode says "for the rest of the turn" on the second effect, but irl its says "this turn you cannot". Is it a situation where it doesn't check until its activated or can we not use that effect if we do anything else?
