One of the important things when raising any type of pet is to have enough food for them. And preparing food in advance is always a good start. So, today I went to harvest cassava to prepare the necessary amount of starch for the upcoming pigs I raise. By peeling, cutting into thin slices and drying, I can preserve cassava for a long time. I am feeling very excited and looking forward to welcoming the pigs. Are you looking forward to it? Please follow the next videos... Thank you very much 😍😍😍
Have fun watching the video!

I have two questions: 1. Can you grow peanuts? Peanuts are good as people and pig feed. The plant can be composted, and the peanuts themselves add nitrogen to the soil. Your garden soil has gotten better over the years, but growing some peanuts in it might make for better vegetable harvests later. 2. You will need a lot of wood and charcoal in a month or two when it comes time to start making and firing the tiles for your stone house roof. Those casava canes aren't good for anything else, might as well bundle them up and stick them in your workshop to dry so they can be used to heat your kiln.

I' ve a suggestion for you. You can use ur old big barn for goat rearing .. as goats shed. You have planty of green grass& jackfruit leaves in your farm which can be used as goat food. In our state we mainly give jackfruit leaves to goats as food... both green& ripen leaves... Lots of love from Kerala, India 🙏❤️🇮🇳

Землю нужно удобрять. Зола, куриный памёт, сколупа от яиц куриных, кожура от бананов, ил из водоёма, сорняки замочи в воде - будет через неделю отличное удобрение. И тогда огород будет цвести и пахнуть.

Hey the sweet potato bread idea came out great. I just used an old family recipe for pumpkin bread and replaced the pumpkin with (boiled to mashed to whipped) sweet potatoes. I reduced the amount of raw (brown sugar) by a third and increased the spices ( ground cinnamon nutmeg cloves) and allspice by 50%. I knew that the naturally higher sugar content of the sweet potatoes would be to strong if I followed the base recipe and the additional spice was added to help balance the sweet flavor out. Just wanted to pass on that your previous videos inspiration worked and that others watching this channel if interested can try it for themselves. Just find a recipe for Pumpkin Bread and give it a shot. Also had an idea of adding a shot or 2 of Scotch Whiskey which may impart a light natural smokey flavor like the bread was baked in a wood fired (clay brick) oven.

Have you ever added cooked, masked up sweet potato to pancakes? I keep 1/4 cup amounts of cook sweet potato frozen in the freezer. That about the right amount to add to pancake batter to make 4-5 nice size pancakes. Yummy! : ) You could also add it to bannock.

@@munchkin5674 Sounds interesting will have to make that. I've made banana cakes and ginger cakes in a pancake form before and those were great. We're coming into the gardening season where I live and in a matter of months the local farmers markets will be full of fresh fruits vegetables and a variety of homemade goods. Personal favorite is spicy pickled green beans and hot pickled okra. Forgot last year to restock my okra supply for homemade gumbo fortunately a neighbor had an extremely productive garden last year and agreed to trade 5Lbs of okra for some homemade slow smoked beef brisket.

Duong, if you mix the chicken and pig poop with the grass and weeds you pull up then mix them all into a big pile. Let that sit and rot together fir a few months it makes what we call compost. This is an extremely good fertilizer for your garden when blended into the beds, Your vegetables will grow really well. I don't have animals, so i use worms to turn my vegetable and fruit peelings into compost for fertilizer for my garden. I also put dried leaves into it in the fall. This also works really well.

Snails need calcium in the water and preferably some in the food they're eating. Try putting some egg shells in the water, fish bones would be good too. See if they'd like a small amount of banana leaves to chew through. Watch what they do with the items you put in. You may need to feed them regularly during your colder months.

Duong, you should mention that raw Cassava (Maniok) is highly poisonous. I bet a lot of folks are inspired to grow some themselves. He dries it not only to evaporate water but to let the cyanides (yes the good stuff) so evaporate too. Or you can decompose it by boiling. The traditional way like shown here is to chop it, dry it an then crush it. Anyway, its a joy to watch you videos. Thank you for your wonderful work! :)

Duong… you are a very skilled builder. It would seem to me that you would be able to build a mandolin slicer, a vegetable slices where you push the veggies through a sharp blade mounted in a board, sorta kinda like a wood planer. This slicer could be place over a basket to catch the veggie slices that come out the bottom. Much faster process.

Do you have a list of possible "improvements" this time with your pigs to keep swine flu from taking them again? It seems like you do, but you might share that to help showcase what you've learned there. Building the pens out of cement/stone, is a pretty good idea, and of course, keeping the pigs clean and from any sort of contamination. Do you have a local farm bureau services there in Vietnam to help? We have farm extension agencies here in the United States, that can provide good information on how to avoid stock disease and loss.

Is it a good thing to put up a rock and mortar barrier next to the ledge so grass does not grow? Also, have you done anything new with your copper mining yet?

What if you line the bottom of one of those rice ponds with rocks and wood for the snails to latch on to and feed? Just a thought, idk anything about snail farming lol

Duong, have you thought about making dried banana? Bananas are also high in starch, and could be preserved in the same way. Also, do you think the dried taro root could be ground into flour?

Hello Duong, in some of your videos, I see you like to eat eggs, sometimes I see you eat several in one meal. I believe you could separate the yolk from the egg white, to eat fewer yolks, which, unlike egg whites, contain enough cholesterol, which, if in excess, is harmful to blood circulation. For example, when you eat 6 hard-boiled eggs for lunch, you might eat 6 egg whites (rich in protein) and only 2 egg yolks. the latest medical data I know of, for a healthy person, recommend around 5/6 whole eggs (yolk+white) per week
