The TV production of the final climb was very hard to follow. I kept thinking that Roglic had missed the boat, but then suddenly he was leading the chase. Don't think Bernal closed the gap, Carapaz just didn't have the kick. I mean they both had a gap. Considering Carapaz lost serious time it wasn't his moment anyway. What I didn't understand how Valverde let this slow phase happen in the later stages. Put time into your rivals for the podium, the pace was so high before the climb, there was serious seconds to be had and all the Movistar guys had good legs still. So I didn't love that. Also makes Roglic job harder because he can't use his explosiveness so much if you set a good consistent pace.

Cort won that stage and deserved to, roglic, although I think he wished he could have won it, ran out of road, more importantly has been consistently chipping away at Bernal, those few seconds, even without the bonus points, have to be a bit demoralising for Bernal, Ineos don't look right again, on paper, they should have been able to just ride that hot tempo up this climb, but either they are tired from their racing schedules or just running out of answers to some terrifically strong teams ... People cite that JV doesn't seem to be supporting Roglic, I don't think they need to, and are lying doggo in the bunch waiting for stages like stage 7, which will really be the litmus test for the GC riders, again, I don't think Primoz will work too hard on defending the jersey ... plenty of time left plus the final TT to stick the knife in..

Roglic has to be Conservative, going too much into the red when he already has a stage win is unnecessary. Backing of and soft pedaling 1 km to go was not just not taking control of the GC race but saving legs. Roglic knows if Bernal starts climbing well he will really struggle to match him. He did sprint flat out for the stage win but too late. Maybe they thought Cort Neilson would definitely blow up.

The noises Sean Kelly makes when he’s trying to thing of a word are the most entertaining part. But seriously, how are the only two guys they can sit next to Carlton both Scottish with monotone voices.

For me it is the lack of focus on the race and riders that bothers me. Like when they miss members of the breakaway being caught on their screens and then say those riders may still be ahead or we didnt see it when we just did. Another example, when the 5 man group was forming today, we all saw the 5 riders forming up yet they still were saying there were only 2 riders in the breakaway and Kelly was saying that was the peloton with those five on screen. Small things like that annoy me.

@@thebr0wnhornet Kelly is Irish and Adam Blythe English. Only Brian Smith is Scottish, unless I am missing someone?
