Hurrem and mirhimah caused chihangirs death. By framing Mustafa with fake letters of rebellion, stealing his seal to make it look legit they caused the death of Mustafa, and in turn caused chihangirs health to take a turn for the worst which resulted in his death . She got what she gave
Everyone who hates Hurrem and sees her as the evil one seems to have forgotten that Mahidevran caused Mehmet's death so that Mustafa would become king. While Suleiman was sick and almost dying she plotted to put Mustafa on the throne and she wouldnt have spared the life of Hurrems children at all. She had already killed one of them in cold blood.
IN MY VIEW Prince Cihangir had a neurological disease (spinal dysraphism), and chronic health problems throughout his life. He was a good person and because of this, he was loved by everyone. He had no enemies. He was a good man. Blame goes to no one for his death.
Blame goes to Suleyman, mahidevran, hurrem and mihrimah Had Suleiman not killed his brother Had mahidevran not spoiled his brother Had hurrem and mihrimah did not steal his seal to make it look like he rebelled
Cihangir's death angel was played by the same actress as Kosem's sister.. ngl i cried during the scene when his soul left for the afterlife and how he wasnt hunchbacked anymore.. and when Mustafa called out to him 😭
With each personal loss - this family continues with their selfish and destructive behavior, and then they want to cry - why? They were their own worst enemy...for those they accused of and was killed by their orders was a true reflection of themselves... yet in their arrogance, they thought they were above others just because of their bloodline.
@oussamaabderrahmane3223 No, I won't...my core essence of who I am are different - I believe that life is a learning curve and that one should learn and improve for better due the choices/challenges one faces as individual.
Mahidevran Sultan have right about Hurrem Sultan, she suffer too the looses of an children but Hurrem have to suffer every time she lost one of her children.
There are a lot of characters that sadden me because of what they go through, but the 2 characters I feel sorriest for in this series are Cihangir and Leo.
The sad truth of power: it does not share with anyone. The family is first to get rid of, especially in medieval times. Suleyman saw Mustafa as a threat, bc he was independent, brave, loved by military forces, so he could be a lethal enemy, if he rebelled. The more Magnificent traits reflected in his son, the more he felt threatened. Let's remember- Suleyman ' s father killed his own father to get a throne. He has been sent also a poisoned kaftan , making him traumatized that his own father Selim wanted to kill him ( in a drama). As Mustafa was framed 100 times, each time Suleyman lost his trust to his child. But I feel more badly for Bayazid. In the series he was an afterthought. What broke me was the episode when he as a child asked: why am I not loved neither by you - mother, nor father? What is my fault? The truth is they kept harem bc of high mortality of children these days. Waited till one survived until adolescence then when he sat on the throne he got a law to kill his brothers who were Sanjak beys and got military power on their own- so it prevented civil wars and smooth succession. It is not only Ottoman empire, all kingdoms around the world were like that. In fight to sit on the throne f.ex. In my country in medieval times people were blinded, castrated, exiled or tortured to death. Power is a blind sword. It doesn't see who it cuts.
