Im 53 and a life long metal head but ive always liked and appreciated Prince. That man was just an artist. No pun intended. Could play any instrument and was literally one of the best electric guitarist ever!!!. Have to check out while my guitar gently weeps. The guitar legends in that video that had the respect to let him do that solo says everything!! Just listen to this solo on this song!! Amazing!!!
I liked a lot this reaction, your face while watching said much more than a thousand words. And yep, I can relate, since I went trough a lot of various emotions while listening and watching. And mind you, this is not even my favourite song of him, but it never fail to move me deeply when he sings it on-stage. I think that, what touches me the most is his absolute sincerity and dedication to music, whatever he does. Spiritual song, funny song, political song, this man always gives 100 % to his audience, and this is exactly what I like in an artist, much more that anything else. yes, I'm not native English speaker, but I think that " sincerity" is the most accurate word here.
I’m from Minnesota. He would just open up paisley park and let everyone in for free or he would go to first avenue club in Minneapolis and just perform when he was in the mood. He was fabulous!
Prince was 'pure' music. 'Truth' music. 'Real' music. He played music for music's sake. He is the closest thing a human can get to creation and performing of sound. You did well kid 😉
One of the Most underrated guitarist, singers performers ever! RIP you were loved by so many!! God has a special place in heaven for you!! Sing with the angels! Love you and miss you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wish everyone could have seen him live, once in a lifetime experience that i was fortunate to see even a couple of years before his passing when he wasnt able to jump around and dance anymore but could still mesmerize you with his stage presence, his ability to play multiple instruments and his command of his entire band that was just sharp and precise as anything you will ever see on stage.
Was lucky enough to see him 5x in different locations, from large stadiums to small dance clubs. He was MAGICAL on stage. And he finished every concert with Purple Rain. Bawled like a baby every time. How can you not?? RIP Prince.
Prince will forever be one of the most incredible pop icons ever to grace the stage. His name will be right up there with MJ for the incredible music and live performances he produced, not to mention the hits he wrote for other bands like the Bangles. Epic.
Jayy...girl...can't believe you have not seen this one before. Gotta say, this slowed down version is alright, but I guess I'm just old school. as I dig the original 10 times better. We all loved The Purple One. He was a incredible, master musician of over 23 instruments. Wrote a plethora of over 3,000 songs. Great singer with incredible range. Prince did it all: musician, singer/songwriter/actor/entertainer. Prince was a true U.S. National Treasure and living legend during his lifetime. So sorry he is gone. Thank God glad for the recordings we still have to remember him by and can still enjoy. Thanks for this one. Great memories of one of my yesterdays with Prince as a big part of the soundtrack of my coming of age in the 1980's. Love you, darling. Much peace, love, and happiness to you. See ya on the next. Shoutout from this old, longhaired, rocker in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Later, doll.

Prince was a very sensuous and sexy guy. You get caught up in it while you listen to him. I believe that the ballerina was the most famous well known Black ballerina Misty Copeland. Prince sought her out and ask her to tour with him. She was the first Black women to be promoted to principle dancer at the American Ballet Theater.
I have been waiting for you to react to Prince live and loved watching you get overtaken by the emotion that comes from watching him perform. There is no one better. Can’t wait to see you dive down the live Prince rabbit hole. Live versions of Purple Rain alone will blow you away, and there is so much more to explore.
Yes, this is pretty much considered his signature song, and is pretty close to the top of Rolling Stone's list of 500 greatest songs of all time, I believe in the top 20. The original studio album cut was itself almost 9 minutes, so not much shorter than this, but part of that is because they are playing it just a tiny bit slower here, and there was more of an opening intro as well. It was also the last song that Prince ever played live, a week before he passed away. RIP, Prince
Couple of hits? This man’s career began with the release of his first album in 1978. His musical catalog is contained in a VAULT, a great deal of it yet to be released. He has written numerous hits for other people as well. Go on and fall down his rabbit hole, you won’t regret it. When you do, you’ll discover that he constantly re-invented himself and his image.
Prince performed Purple Rain hundreds of times and each one are different. That is amazing to me. Can U imagine being a musical savant with no limits? And at anytime U feel like playing different instruments, recording songs, or putting on a concert, all you have to do is get up from bed and just go downstairs in your home. I've always thought that was so badass. Prince needed Paisley Park for his hyper creative mind. That is how devoted he was to his work. Liv4luv 0(+->
I know prince was a love him or hate him kind of performer, but regardless of how you feel about his music, there is no denying his talent. especially with that guitar!!!!
Defo such a talent! If possible I would recommend checking out Prince - Nothing Compares to U live at Paisley Park, and Prince - Purple Rain at the Superbowl. Probably the best Superbowl halftime show ever
If you haven’t seen the movie - you really should! That whole album was a huge part of my late teen years. My friend and I used to drive around listening ton”Take Me With You”. Check it out!
