My goodness my eldest son is a senior in high school and about to turn 18. Deciding which college to attend is hard enough for him!. Diana was thrust in front of the world at the same age. I understand those of you who say "she chose to marry Charles". But seriously she was a teenager who's head was turned by the fairy tale and I have no doubt that Charles misled this naive young woman into believing the fairy tale and she didn't see the red flags because she was naive and probably was caught up in the fairy tale. I believe she was dramatic and both were entirely ill equipped to deal with each other. One of the saddest things on these tapes were the comments about red hair. I hope for Harry's sake that didn't occur. And the irony with red hair being a Tudor trait doesn't escape me. Even earlier in my marriage, I suffered from depression & suicidal thoughts. I did leave my husband once, so I couldn't understand why Diana didn't just do the same, until I heard them say that the monarch had control over Diana's children, & could take them away from her. I now realize that her hands were tied, & she was unable to do anything. I've always agreed she was a good Mother, therefore, she put up with a lot in order to keep her children. That's pretty sad when you think about it.

When she was finding her own self and heart they took it from her. The saddest part is she knew what was to become of her..maybe she didn't know that day would be the day but she knew her fate. Several things that Princess Diana suffered paralleled events in my own marriage. When she got killed in that automobile accident, I broke down and cried. Princess Diana was just on her way to getting her life straightened out, and something horrible like that had to happen. I can't stand Prince Charles to this day because of his inexcusable treatment of Princess Diana. WHAT ON EARTH DID THAT MAN WANT? Princess Diana was beautiful, did well in her public role and was a good mother to their children. Camilla can't hold a candle to Diana. Prince Charles is clearly a spoiled rotten brat. I can only hope that Queen Elizabeth will come to her senses and bypass Charles and Camilla as the next King and Queen of England.
