if the idea of dating is unbiblical until you enter adulthood, and when you can spiritually lead a person, etc, then what are other ways I can get to know the girl if I can't go out and sit down with her one on one, which doesn't mean being alone with her, for a few hours (after I sit down with her father and get his approval of course)? I'm 17, and I know that I'm not mature enough for a girl, so I'm referring to the future here.
if its unbiblical cause its not mentioned then if you go to a church and they have a piano then get rid of it cause they were not mentioned in the bible either..but the words dating and courtship are not even in the bible. and whats adulthood and in which society and which religion for many differ. theres some people at 24 who are still children and some countries have people who are 40 and still like they are 12 yrs old ..so whos definition you gonna use for adult. legal to buy beer at 21 or go to war and be 18...
go start having some fun and get used to being with a female. age is not the factor for being mature in that sense. handling yourself like a grown male whos learning is. you cant wait til your grown and out of college and then say maybe I'm ready then and your 24 or so. its not about sex but about learning how to just be comfortable with someone you can enjoy their company with and have fun and not be alone. my best friends daughter is 28 now and NEVER has been on a date or even kissed and male for sure and its sad and tragic kinda cause when she ever gonna do such, when shes over 30. my oldest dated maybe 3 times or so in highschool and the youngest well he was different and had a girlfriend at 17 and then playing college football he had another one and a few after that but then after college met someone and they got married and have 2 kids also. but you have to be your own judge in this matter and not have anyone tell you what and when and who. only let your own feelings and such and the lord help you. not preacher should be your guide cause they ALL differ and many wanna control how you live according to their agenda. I was 16 and had my first date and she was so cool kinda and in had a 1969 roadrunner to go out in. we had fun and NEVER even had sex or wanted to really. we just had fun and we are still friends today 42 years later. when a preacher says you can only be with a female if you have intentions to marry then how you gonna even know if you a=can even have a conversation unless you be with them and not in a group setting where people will always put on their best attitude and present themselves one way and when alone be so different. the bible sets no age requirement for this anywhere I even think in jewish custom that when a male turns 13 hes considered a young man and can now worship. every person is different so go find a female you might wanna get to be with for friends and go get some thing to eat and talk. its ok god not looking for perfection either.
one more thing do what the bible DOES say though always and that should be to be honest with god and yourself and just ask god to help you not keep you from something but to help you in something that you wanna do regardless of what it is. I'm not your guide but the holy spirit is and hes the one to help you learn how to do things not some preacher and his idea of whats not even in the bible and theres not one criteria and specific guideline for how to. its a individual thing and we don't live in a foreign country where many have different customs and laws for being with a female. let the lord lead you not me or any other person. just a final thought stay away from this preacher cause from my perspective hes got salvation wrong when teaching you must have faith but also works to prove your saved and that's wrong. its faith alone in Christ alone and NOT of works. be good and take care.
this guy thinks you must wanna marry someone before you can even go out. recreational dating means to this preacher evil when then why would god even give you feelings to be with the opposite sex and then washer say why you wanna be with her. god says its not good to be alone and this preacher says be alone and suppress tour feelings and if you wanna go out for a burger it must be someone you are to marry. god does not require anywhere in scripture his specifics he says one must follow. courtship is not even a word in the bible. this preacher thinks it wrong to even think about wanting to be with a female if your under 16 or so. he thinks marriage is the only reason to wanna be with someone and that denys the person the ability to interact with the opposite sex and be with others.if one has to have credentials for marriage then no one would ever get their. that's like saying I want a loan and yet I have no credit. but how do you get it if you cant get a loan.
@@theholistichome i a group setting you can easily hide your real self and deceive others...but its when you are alone and then as you get to know someone you see things come out you would NEVER see in a group setting.....
promaster Agreed, you can hide in an artificial group setting like a college group, singles group, etc. But actually seeing the person relate to their immediate family (mom, dad, and siblings and grandparents) in daily life tells a LOT about a person. Having everyone around us the same age or same goals is NOT good preparation for real life. Real life is all ages and people from all backgrounds.
promaster Neither is “dating” mentioned in the Bible. But, “fleeing youthful lust” is mentioned. Let’s be honest deep private conversation goes there and it should! ;-)
@@theholistichome youthful not a 35 yr old with two kids who just wants someone to talk to and companionship....some preachers think all you wnna do is get into the other pants cause it them who has the problem with lust......and I actually had a preacher tell me that too......you don't treat grown adults with kids and responsibilities the same way you do teenagers and he did that...…..
