Great question. I actually just posted a video last week using a new printable vinyl. You can check it out here Testing Siser Easy Color DTV Printable Vinyl with Cricut / Printable Heat Transfer Vinyl ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XTu1lqJDHic.html
I also made a part 2 of that video - trying printable vinyl on different material. Can you use EasyColor DTV on Wood, Paper, Canvas & Ceramic? | Siser Printable Vinyl with Cricut ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GV2dlpbH6UA.html
Of ALLLLL the cricut tutorials I have watched, you were THE ONLY person to actually show how it is done! 😊 Thank you!! I hated my cricut until now!! Great video!!
I’m so glad to hear this and I hope you can have many enjoyable moments with your Cricut. It’s so fun to use but does have a learning curve. Happy crafting!
FINALLY! I just spent 4 hours watching different tutorials on how to do print then cut, some being over 40 minutes and you are the only tutorial that has shown the actual process from beginning to end of how to set up your image in design space, how to send it to the printer, how to position the paper onto the mat and the cricut actually cutting it in less than 10 minutes! Thank you so much for getting straight to the point and showing how everything is done! Amazing tutorial!
WOW! Of ALL the videos I've watched and Google searches I've done, you were the ONLY one to actually SHOW me how to do it! THANK YOU! I was about to toss my Cricut out the window lol.
Yes I agree, especially showing what setting to pick when cutting out the picture. Someone said to use rice paper setting and almost everytime, there are areas that rip and ruin the pic. So thankful she showed that part!
Listen, thank you SO much! I was exhausted from watching tons useless videos and was just about to call it a night. You showed me what I needed in a solid 1 minute. You are a true gift and educator! Thanks again! - Creative Ali

I am so glad I found your channel! You explain things so clearly yet so simply. I usually feel discouraged after watching videos but you made it so easy to follow and understand 😊
Exactly what I needed to see. I use vinyl paper and go to the copy store and use their laser color printer, but then the snag of cutting out the sticker emerges and was on the verge of buying a Cricut, but every turtorial I saw was how to make a design using all these different colored vinyls which was not helpful as I wanted a multi- layered image, not a bunch of separate vectored images, to be able to cut out and not make something from scratch. Thank you for explaining this!
I’m glad you enjoyed it. I have another video showing how to make stickers using print then cut that you may find helpful as well. Make Easy Peel Stickers with Cricut using Print Then Cut ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KMKfTm5xGMg.html

YOU DO Amazing work when you do your tutorials. I really like them, you don't talk too long in your intro, you get right to it, and you explain very well. I really enjoy them. QUESTION: Do you also do anything tutorials on Cameo 4 like business cards etc...

You would need to use heat transfer t-shirt paper that fits in your ink jet printer. Something like this. Canada Link amzn.to/3xJZNXC American Link amzn.to/3bny4Vj Keep in mind there are different transfers depending on if you're doing a coloured shirt or a white shirt. I personally find it easier to use the dark shirt transfers. Follow instructions on the package. I have yet to do a video on this but I will let you know when I do.

Hi 👋 so I just learned how to collaborate my printer n cricut but now my issue is the colors are not coming out bright idk what im doing wrong please help 😢
You’re welcome! Also a separate note; if you want your machine to cut around everything, and not every individual piece, select all layers together and click ‘flatten”. Happy crafting!
Hello. Thank you for the video but I’m still having trouble. My image is only one layer but my Cricut is still cutting out each piece instead of only around the edges. What am I doing wrong?

Yes, I concur that you did a fantastic job of explaining the print and cut. But I do have a few questions, 1st one is, do you have to calibrate the machine every time? The second is can you tape down your printer weight paper to some card stock to cut both out at the same time?
Great questions. I recommend calibrating your machine if you have not done it in a while or if Cricut has done a new update. You don’t need to do it every time. I have never tried what you are asking but I suppose it would work if you found the right pressure setting. The other thing you can do if your just looking to make your paper stronger by adding cardstock to the back is to duplicate your image on the canvas - have one set as a print then cut and the other as a basic cut. Then you can cut then out separately and attach them together after. I hope that makes sense. Happy crafting.
@littlecraftnest Thanks for commenting on this. I will try and calibrate the machine again, I received an error message. I did try the cut alone but my printed copy was bigger than the cardstock cuttings 😔 Will try something else, thanks.
Thank you! I was looking at the Cricuts on sale for Amazon Prime Day, but was not too interested in cutting vinyl. I wanted to know how to do stuff like this, and if it could.
Yes you can! But you need to change the name of the matrial that you want to cut, it is no longer a cardstock...either you add that by your self (and you can add any material and adjust the fast of cutting and give it a name, so you will find it when you search for material names) or maybe Cricut made some updates and add it to the list.
You would need to first print your image through design space so your page has the registration marks on it. Your Cricut will not know where to cut without them.
Thanks so much for that! I’m new to Cricut and I need to cut and print multiple waterproof labels. Is there an easy way to do the same design multiple times on the same paper?
Yes you can! Once you press “make” you can then make multiple copies of your image at the top left of the screen. Here is a sticker video that may be helpful ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yTzPxnA4jQs.htmlsi=Ts3V6lioTMbUxA9_ and here is my sticker playlist with many sticker videos ru-vid.com/group/PLPIwi88Dy-Oz4AY7phRD4ZN1Dfnj6SwOM&si=4sb3jV23IvKlYb_j

Thank you so much for this video after much searching I came across this video which was a tremendous help. I do have a question tho. Can this same thing be applied when working with sublimation? I only have a sublimation printer and when pressing the mirrored image onto this dry erase poster sheets it cannot detect the image I’m assuming because of this. I don’t have a standard printer just curious if there is a work around for sublimation. Thank you in advance for any assistance 😊
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yes you can use it with sublimation but you will have to print through Design Space. Make sure your image has only been mirrored once. ex. Make sure your printer is not set up to automatically mirror because if you then mirror in design space it will cancel out your original mirror. So turn off your printers auto mirror setting and only mirror after you go to “make” in Design Space. I hope that makes sense. Also here is a more updated Print then cut video if you’re interested ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z2XfelG1OuU.htmlsi=TtG9Ovlhwgiy_Dg5
It depends what you are wanting to do. I have used regular copy paper, cardstock, sticker paper, printable HTV, printable projector sheets and more. You can use whatever material your printer will print on.
May I know which color vinyl should I use to get this multi colored image instead of paper? Need it for outdoor project. Also, hw to make it weatherproof? Thanks
You would need to use printable vinyl with a laminate sheet over top to make it waterproof. I have done several sticker videos showing this process. Check out this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yTzPxnA4jQs.htmlsi=7TRrba7MYn9t4ZRz Here is my affiliate link for my favorite printable vinyl teckwrapcraftaffiliateprogram.sjv.io/EK6qGQ
Yay...discovered this info last night and it worked so perfectly! Thank you again for sharing. Now I've learned another new technique on my cricut! And...my printer is pretty good so i don't need to buy a new one right now. Win win. You're the best. I'm going to follow you on IG! Thanks!
@@lucyalgood sorry, just reading this (month ago :(... wifi is needed and when you have the image on your Cricut, it will have an option or you can click the option in the Cricut Space Design, by clicking on the box in the upper left corner BASIC CUT...there's an arrow, click on that and it will give you an option that says "Print then Cut". Select that and then your Cricut will guide you. You MIGHT need to calibrate your Cricut to your printer...it typically tells you if you need to do so. Hope this is helpful. Good luck!
You can use any paper or material that will feed through your printer. In this video I am using regular copy paper which is matte. Keep in mind that when using glossy paper your Cricut may have a difficult time reading the registration marks. So if you choose to use glossy paper you can cover the registration marks with matte tape before putting it in your Cricut.
Glad you enjoyed it. I have two different videos on that using different material. Inkjet transfer paper: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QPTr-FyHglc.html Easy Color DTV: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XTu1lqJDHic.html

I’m glad you enjoyed the video. You don’t need to connect your printer to your Cricut. As long as your printer is already connected to your computer or device you should be good to go!
how does the cricut know that you put that particular imagine into the machine to be cut? It just knows because of the boxes on the outside of the bunny image? Great video as well !
Yes the registration marks help your Cricut machine know where to cut but design space communicates with your Cricut machine so it knows what shape it needs to cut. You can watch my latest Print then Cut video for more tips and tricks here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z2XfelG1OuU.html Happy crafting!
I thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I have a question about the background. Do you always need to remove the background on the print n cut option?
You’re welcome. You can keep the background if you want the background printed out. Example, if you have a square photo with a background, you can keep it and your Cricut will cut around the square - not the subject. If you want your Cricut to cut around the subject you will have to remove the background. Hope that helps.
Thank you, love this video! If you were to make a sticker with a name (non-cursive), how do you get a print then cut with a white border around the entire name and not just cutting out the letters?
I’m glad you enjoyed it. You can create an offset around your entire image and then flatten together. Thank you for the lesson. I tried doing this on Cricut sticker paper. I followed these steps for an image I uploaded from Canva which worked well. Then I tried it with multiple DS images on one sheet. I managed to get it to print as it should, but then it cut out everything as if it was individual. It cut the top of my strawberry separately, but each letter of a word/image separately. Any suggestions.
You need to select all your layers (ex top and bottom of strawberry) and then click on “flatten”. @@littlecraftnest What do you mean by regular copy paper? Do you mean a regular bond paper? I tried putting on my mat and it was a disaster my paper stuck to the mat and the marks did not come off. Could it be because I used the mat that was supposed to be for the fabric?
@Myredeemer1004 Regular white printer paper on a light grip mat (blue one). Turn your mat upside down and peel the mat off the paper - not the paper off the mat. Here is a more updated print then cut video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z2XfelG1OuU.htmlsi=p-6BKOzPKiJqaY4n

Good morning I am Terri.I am in San Antonio Texas. I would like to get started and purchasing my items to have here at home. I am semi retired so this would be great for me. I have a cricket. I have not opened because I’m terrified, but I’m ready to face my fears, which is the best printer I see you have Epson? is there a best bundle for the cricket and mug and glass press?? also for the Joy is there a best bundle for all these just looking for some input so I can put it together and get started thank you so much in advance. I know it’s a lot but if I get a few answers I can get going.
That’s exciting that you will be starting your new crafting adventure. Don’t be afraid to get started - you may make mistakes in the beginning but that’s all part of the learning processes. What machine do you currently have? I wouldn’t suggest getting another machine until you learn the basics. I have an Epson printer which I’m happy with, I also have the Cricut mug press cricut.pxf.io/WqdyrZ and the HTVRONT tumbler press. shrsl.com/4f50o Here is a video that will help you understand Cricut design space do you can get started ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NbiyCwB5rWE.htmlsi=WhkQcSZ4DpGHeJty (Links above are affiliate links)
You can use any material that will feed through your printer ie) paper, cardstock, printable vinyl, printable sticker paper, etc. Yes you can use almost any printer. Here is an updated print then cut video I made: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z2XfelG1OuU.htmlsi=T7FJdYcP6fCtbxKz
You don't need to add your printer to Design Space. Follow the printer setup for your own individual printer when installing it on your computer. Design Space will recognize any printers that you have setup on your computer.
Design Space has recently updated its print then cut capabilities. Switch over to the the Beta version of DS (watch here to learn how ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tCuMmI8UJcY.html ). Then you will be able to use different paper sizes and will be able to print larger (depending on your printer’s capabilities). I’m hoping to make a new print then cut video explaining this in the new future. All the best.
Ty so much for your down to the point video-tutorial ❤! I have a quick question: how do u send the info from your cricut to your printer? Wifi? Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. As long as your printer is hooked up to your computer there is no further setup required. Here is a more updated print then cut video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KMKfTm5xGMg.htmlsi=B5q2ESu2gvnMV11M
You would need to log into your DS account in order to print. Ex. Go to work, log into DS and print. Then go home open DS (click already printed) and then cut. I don’t think you’d be able to log into DS and print at a store. Better to go to a library, friend’s house or work. Also keep in mind that if you move any images around on your canvas before you cut - your cut lines may be off. I hope that helps.
