It’s not a ceramic coating or a ceramic-based product. However, it definitely delivers very durable protection that uses a proprietary Hybrid Polysiloxane technology to produce a measurable coating on a car to protect the paint. Once this product is applied to the paint, it will cross-link, cure, and bond to itself and to the paint at the same time. In the end, it’s resistant to weather, chemicals, the elements, and everything that a car can be exposed to and is more tenacious when it comes to bonding and protecting.
With this coating for cars, you get all the benefits of a ceramic coating in a product that’s extremely easy to apply and costs much less than a traditional paint coating. One of the main goals for this product was to make it easier to use than a traditional coating, which is why it was developed and produced as an aerosol. It ends up being easier to apply to the pad, and it spread best to the painted surface.
There is enough of the paint coating in the can for you to be able to do two coats, even on a larger vehicle. If you do two coats to ensure you have even and thorough coverage, you would wait an hour between coats. Then, you want to give it one week for full curing and bonding. After fully cured, it will provide durable protection that lasts over a full year.
Before applying the coating, wash your vehicle and make sure it’s fully clean. If it’s not smooth to the touch, you want to clay the paint to remove all the above surface bonded contaminants. Next, you will want to remove any below surface defects like swirls, light scratches, stains, and etch marks with a compound as needed. Then, follow with the M122 to remove any oils from compounding and/or polishing. The better the paint is prepared before applying the coating, the better it will bond and perform, giving you maximum durability and performance
