Seahawks Legion of Boom era was 2012-2015 and it was magnificent. Marshawn Lynch Russ Wilson Doug Baldwin Richard Sherman Earl Thomas Kam Chancellor Mike Bennett Cliff Avril Bobby Wagner KJ Wright The were phenomenal to see. Once in a lifetime team.
Prime marshawn would easily be better than current derrick henry, with that being said derrick henry still has time to develop and become better, and could possibly develop into a hall of famer.
Are you out of your mind? Henry has 2 years as a feature back and lead the league in rushing and joined the 2k club. Lynch was great but where is he in that convo?
@@vorsutus753 seahawks weren't a rushing offense back in marshawn lynch prime, they were a passing but he still got well over 1000 yards for 4 years straight, even in his first 2 rookie seasons he had over 1000 yards
Marshawn is a super simple yet thoroughly misunderstood dude because of the way he interacted with the media when forced. He is the most loyal and committed guy: he always takes whatever city he's in and he makes himself responsible for that town, that dude IS Oakland. In Seattle he was always around town and never had time for rich fans but always made time for kids. His charity work was enormous, dude literally be out on the street giving away turkeys. Nice to old folks yet brutal on the field, he loved those hits. Henry may be a tad stronger, both are deceptively fast, Marshawn built with a lower center of gravity though, closer to Saquon Barkley. But Beastmode had these runs..he'd just lift that whole team up when he needed too; never with a speech, just all about that action. Super loyal to his family and his teammates too: several stories of him skipping flights in order to stay with an injured teammate or checking up on guys humble. Total self promoter and sells anything with his name on it...but super clean with his money, super smart and driven to donate tons. Closest i can think of in the league now would be JJ Watt or Larry Fitzgerald. Really committed loyal guys.
There only one true beast mode. That’s Marshawn Lynch the only rb to ever have caused a literal earthquake. Go hawks. 12s up! Love the content. Subbed.
i was at that game...its the most amazing thing ive ever seen in real life, outside of my child being born. I still get chills to this day watching that run.
Gotta check out Marshawn mic’d up, press interviews, & just him shooting the shits. The man is hilarious! He literally got kicked out of a game for trying to fight his teammates bc they were trying to fight his cousin on the other team. Him & his cousin rode public transport back to the Bay with the fans.
I’ve been on a binge of watching all your reactions lol💯 but if you wanna talk about a guy with some power, go look at Joseph Vincent’s videos on Bo Jackson longer the better, and he’s got the speed that you like bc you’re a track guy as well
Henry is faster and hits harder. Lynch just doesn't go down and definitely more shifty. I'd go with Lynch. And people forget he had surgery on both his ankles in college.
That highlight video left a lot out. He could also burn defenses. The yards after contact are more exciting, but he did have afterburner that he used. Marhawn "Beastmode" Lynch's quickness, physical strength, agility, balance and ability to stay on his feet and adjust his weight to do so. He was illusive as well as strong. Most of those clips were from the more physical games he played. Don't sleep, he was Fast deceptively and actually. His field vision and ability to spot and break through holes to daylight was a major advantage of his as well. The Seahawks of his years were a physical team. They won by beating up the opposition on both sides of the ball. When they faced less physical teams or beat them up enough - you got to see the aerial dissection and finesse running. The hard-nosed, old school, smash-mouth style is just what we remember the most because of the physical play styles of many of the Seahawks opponents. Seattle had to adapt and did it well. Marshawn Lynch was no different. They like to portray him as a one dimensional running back. He was also a threat out of the backfield in Wilson's passing game. He was an old school "throwback" type of RB who could do it all, ( some thing better than others) but was rarely needed to do so.
Beastmode was the manliest runner I've seen since I saw old films of Larry Csonka in my grandad's den. Both men just wanted to hurt people and run the ball. 2 of my favs to ever do it.
if u can i recommend u react to raiders tight end darren wallers drug addiction story on the nfl media youtube channel, very inspiration story awesome video as well!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 you gotta look up Mike Robs "Real Rob Report" messin with Marshawn 🤣 it's a great series tho. Just a player and his camera chilling with his team mates in the locker room.
Marshawn doesn't have elite long distance speed, but his acceleration and agility are superhuman for someone at his size. That combined with his power made him unstoppable
Marshawn and Henry are very different but they each get the job done. I think he try will have a longer career then lynch based on tackle rules alone, he’s gonna get injured less. Marshawn was definitely getting his harder
Marshawn Lynch's running style and physical build would have translated over to Rugby very well - he's a high contact, powerful runner. I think that Fijian Rugby player, Josua Tuisova, has a similar high power running style and, potentially, he has the physical ability to play Fullback or Power Running Back in the NFL. He would need a couple of seasons to learn the basic of American Football.
Derrick Henry is a Freak athlete! strong, fast, and huge. Beast Mode had "motor", kept grinding his legs. King Henry will go down in the hall of fame, i think, but Marshawn was a beast in every sense of the word
That’s why you just can’t believe they tried slants in the end zone against the Patriots during the super bowl….. it’s like wait a minute you have Beast mode
Since you like the runners check out: Walter Payton, Emmit Smith, Barry Sanders, Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, Rodger Craig , Ricky Watters, Jim Brown and... O.J. Simpson (if you can find any highlights of his smdh). These guys are still considered Legendary, NFL Hall-of-Fame prototypes of what a RB is supposed to be.
King Henry needs to show his dominance for a few more years to reach Beast Mode debate territory imo. Marshawn, past his prime, was still a monster. If Derrick can do that there is a legit discussion.
U gotta react to marshawn lynch’s competitor at the time Adrian Peterson they nicknamed him A.D. for “all day” and he’s probably one of the best runningbacks to play
Like power backs the best ever was Earl Cambell. He has my favorite run of all time (let’s forget about Barry Sanders for a moment). Earl jukes out 2 then folds up a linebacker, out runs the next defender and finally 3 defenders jump on him ripping off his jersey as he makes 10 more yards
I'm a lifetime hawks fan bro and there were plays were he would break away the safety would be the last guy and he would literaly be afraid to tackle him he had the nfl shook
Beastmode was a more complete player than Henry is, maybe not as fast but as much power, elusiveness and on top of it he was a GREAT blocking RB, something massively overlooked. A truer son of Oakland has never been born. Any injured player he was by their side, any charity needed he would help. Henry is great but Marshawn put the team on his back a LOT.
Derrick Henry is good but Derrick Henry is also 6 4 260 lb. Marshawn Lynch on the other hand is 5 11 212 lb of funny. Probably one of the greatest personalities the NFL has ever seen also Derrick Henry will be remembered for his size Marshawn Lynch will be remembered for being one of the greatest power Runners of all time as well as one of the greatest personalities of all time. It's easy to choose show me the funny Marshawn over Henry all day
This is when they had the monster squad and Pete made the worst call in super bowl history. They had lynch Michael Bennett cliff avril mj Wright Bobby Wagner earl thomas and Kam chancellor. Kam was the baddest in the league too. Check out Kam chancellor you’ll wonder why he hasn’t been mentioned much
Marshawn and Henry are two completely different style backs. It's hard to compare, but if I was going to build a franchise and had a good O-line I'd take Henry
Derrick Henry's Legacy isn't done yet he is an amazing running back but I believe Marshawn is better when he was in he's prime so that leaves a lot more room for Derrick Henry to be great!
u can bet against the patriots now that brady is gone, and that was those are the years of... "The Legion of the Boom". imo.,. beastmode is the first nfl player to create an persona and make it legendary.
