Making lures on a lathe gives you a great platform to do more of the lure build on the lathe than you might think. Here are some of my techniques for getting more done while the lure is still nicely held in the lath.
Good tips here. I like the way you use the clamp to line up the saw. I use a hacksaw to cut the lip slot while holding the lure in my hand, its a hit and miss affair but I dont mess up to much. If the lure swims to the one side then I would heat up the bib and bend it accordingly so that it swims straight.
Oscar Stone thanks for the feed back.... the video makes it look more difficult than it really is. Doing it all on the lathe actually makes it quicker and there's a lot less worry when it comes time to water test it. nothing is ever perfect so having away to make adjustments like you do, is an absolute must.
