Awesome job. I'd love to run a pro charger but the upfront cost is not viable. If I turboed the same car it'd be cheaper

Not quite turbo you need to do more that cost more, have to get certain K-Members, coil overs, tap oil pan just a lot more in general, you can get a used IC centri around 2k and bolt it on.

You can buy a used Vortech or Procharger complete kit for $2500-$3000.

Compact turbo that doesn't need oil lines is what I'm thinking may be a good option. The cartridge has a grease and just need to top it up. So you just need exhaust and induction tubes. Intercooler if you're running the required boost. I love the idea that with supercharger it's all instant. But turbo is more flexible. The cost is comparable if you can find used parts for the right price. I'm looking at running 1 bar of boost to make overtaking and towing more bearable

@@chrissraceporting7055 you have a lot to learn. There are different types of superchargers and depending on which you get it is not instant. The one in this video is a centrifugal that builds boost with rpm. To do a turbo setup on these cars you need to swap out the K member, a arms, and go with coilovers to fit the piping. No such thing as a "compact" turbo on these. Why would you be towing with your Mustang?

Not specic to mustangs for 1 and the linier supercharger boost is different from a turbo boost curve. But I'm not going to argue about different types of superchargers

93 or 87? You mention both fuels.

It was on 87, i mentioned it would make more on 93.

@@ForceEngineering beginning of video you say 93 at 1:00. Never heard of anyone using or recommending using 87 octane with boost. How much timing is in it and how much boost? That low of octane and stock MAF are two bad decisions on owners part. Kind of surprised you even decided to tune it like that.

@@wallyc7349 I had assumed it was on 93. I always start with timing very low. Typically a ramp from 3k to 6k with a peak of 12* at 6k at a 1.8 load. After the first couple hits to get the fueling close and realizing the maf was for sure a problem, I called him and that's when i learned it was still on 87 octane. I don't remember for sure what total timing ended up being, but it definitely wasn't much. I tune so many combos that I wasn't concerned with the fuel octane level. Obviously I prefer to be informed of that before and not during. but after doing a few 500whp 93 octane 4 cylinder cars, a 3-400whp v8 on 87 isn't a big deal at all.

@@ForceEngineering 12* is about all you can put in it on 87. Definitely won't make anymore with that fuel. 8psi, 17*, and 93 this car will be making around 340-350rwhp.
