@@2vCamerxnu could do similar with a manual and the driver mod. The old 4 speed auto doesn't have the crazy gearing like 10 speeds so from a roll its similar to a manual with the driver mod.
i agree with both of you. i love these 10+ mins of racing and not arguing about who jumped a light....just hop on the highway for less than a minute and let her rip!
Texan 2v i also have a 2valve and regret not getting a 96+ cobra. the 4valve is pretty good for making power with just a little boost, couple bolt ons and strong cams. the 2valve is hard to make power with and is almost not worth the time and money.
Just do a coyote swap not bad really i'm doing one on my channel of my o2 mustang still saving to buy the motor but the plan is a whipple 5.0 or turbo not sure yet!
Those car's are really limited by gearing.....the gears are meant for track racing.....high rpm corner to corner.....not straight line.....I had a Subaru for a short time.....crazy money for maintenance......I could've had a really nice mustang or camaro for same money
He said k member and coils. With that turbo setup if he hasn’t gutted it any the car weighs 3500+ with the 4R70. Turbo adds 100 pounds at least and the k with coils only cuts out ~ 70. The car might have 500whp but turbo 4.6 2v make gobs of torque. If he’s at 500hp he’s probably pushing 560-590 tq
Yeah those 4R70 are tough as nails. I'm really surprised. As I had mine upgraded. The builder says with upgrades they can take 900HP at the crank. Just use the right torque converter and watch for thrust bearing bearing wear. As they will push on the crank pretty damn hard. And if you want to check for play. He said just use a pry bar on the harmonic balancer. If it comes out past the specs. Put away some money for replacing the bearings. Or your ass will be sorry. When the crank rubs the main caps. As the block is now useless.
500+ on 4.6??? Fuckin hell yes!! Showing an everyday ford guy that a 2 valve motor can be built and bang out with a camaro with 750 horses!? Awesome. Subscribed, liked!
Of course it can why do people think it can't where did that mindset come from? Even on stock bottom end at 450 wheel you could run with cars with more power that are heavier they're only 3200 lbs atock...boss rods and forged pistons you can do 600+ wheel reliably with boost on a budget. It's not hard to make a 2v move out. People need to stop worrying about peak power and look at the overall package. That's only one part of the equation. It's about how fast it is not how much power it has.
Most ppl on here saying the 2v cant handle power, dudes, with a 5.0L, 5.1L and/or a 5.2L Stroker 2v (forged internals, $800-$2.6k) can handle over 1,000 hp AND costs way less than $10k for just the 5.0L Coyote V8.. The math don't lie, ppl..
B Dog rods go out at around 450 horsepower depending on who tuned it but a forged assembly is dirt cheap you can swap in the cobra internals which are forged from factory and its set up to take 700-800 reliably
My '99 was all UPR, Maximum motorsports, eibach sportlines,Tokio adjustables, kyb quad shocks, full length sub frame, battle box reinforce kit welded,315/35/17 nt555r, 373 gears, all bolt ons and long tubes. My baby made a few Rough stg 2 & 3 sick at the track! She dead hooked every time and would be gone.
Very impressive. My 2V currently makes 563/602 but it’s having problems cutting out at 5200 rpms. Hope to get it fixed next month. Should be reving over 72 easy.
Those 2V cars just need the Trickflow heads....with a cam they are in Coyote territory. There was a couple NMRA real street cars back in the day that went high 8's with street blowers, no intercoolers, cast stock cranks, and five speeds.
Robert Elmo I'm running an off the shelf eagle drop in kit with trickflows, a VMP blower, full exhaust, and E85 in my Crown Vic, and have yet to lose to any SRT car I've come across so far. So yes, 2V's can still put in work.
So then that means that I still have another route to go in my 2003 5.4l f150. . . Was planning to drop a 2015+ 5.0 coyote in but if I can build the engine/transmission plus a turbo and get good power I might leave the 5.4 in. Might just be a bit cheaper, good thing the damn thing came with a forged crank from factory.
Man O War Could you put some videos on your channel of the crown vic? I'd really love to see that thing, i got a buddy with a vic and he wants boost! Lol! Rare to see a sleeper vic!
Lol what I was thinking to! I just bought a 2000 Mustang gt last week.hard top sunburst gold with 5speed.only has 130,000km on her bullit rims cobra R hood crower clutch hurst short throw lowered 2/half inches full flowmaster American thunder exhaust with a bbk intake and sct tuner got the car for 6,500$ Canadian.I putting in373gears and a set of south side traction bars this year then it’s going to psp performance in Toronto to get a p1sc procharger with intercooler going to run 10lbs of boost.like to see it make about 425rwhp that’s the goal.
@@jeremybyford6917 It'll be a fun ride. I will say though, that a turbo system will make more average power, under the curve. A bit more plumbing, and a little harder to tune. Either way, it'll be a fun ride. Enjoy! 🇨🇦 😉
lol, its a car world thing. if they give away their real location the cops will be beefed up in the area looking for them. everyone knows street racing is illegal in the US. so the ongoing joke is to say 'filmed in mexico'
They can hit 700+ with a single turbo no problem. 20psi and 9:1 cr with ported heads. You just don’t see guys with actual money buying them and putting cash in them. I bet they are one of the cheapest 10 second cars around total investment. Older ls1 cars are awesome 10 second cars when it comes to total cash too.
Bodyshot Jake 700 wheel with a turbo... wow! You 2 valve guys are pure comedy. BTW, no need to inform me about what they can or can't do as I owned one brand new and it was hideous.
Bodyshot Jake As for being cheapest not even close when you consider you have to purchase a full rotating assembly. Cheapest by far would be a junkyard 4.8/5.3/6.0 LS in a Fox body but I'm sure you already knew that.
LS3 StngKlr Also said one of the cheapest Proof is right here in the video man. All the cars he ran and beat are more total cash. 5th gen with exhaust and a 150 shot..... really! Neck and neck
Cody Helveston I guess rereading that it sounds like I’m saying you can have a shop build it. Absolutely not the case. If you build it yourself it’s more than possible. Good luck on your build man should be a beast. I need about 50 more ponies and I’ll be in the tens. When my engine is fully built I’m going to pump by boost up to 16psi on the stock block with over 160k on it and see if I can get a 10 before it cracks. Then swap
It was already pulled at 20psi when I bought it. Just freshening up the bottom and going to port and polish the heads, intake, and throttle body with new seats, seals, and guides etc with blower cams. Turn the fuel up and let it eat-see what she does.
Great work guys I'm subbed for sure it's good to see a Chanel so street racing it seems like everyone is going to tracks more which is fine but the street is more fun in my opinion if you can I would love to see more dig races too lol
It's a better idea to buy a supercharger over heads/cams. If the engine blows up with a super charger u can just get another stock/salvage engine cheap and get right back to where u were. If u do N/A only u risk losing alot of money if the engine blows. Plus a supercharger is more streetable. Or can buy both if u have deep pockets.
Now imagine a built bottom end and more boost in the lil 2v. I just picked up my 1st 2v and with the little it has done isnt to bad. Its no 4v or Hellcat that im used to but fun as hell.
I just built the 4.6 in my f150 (i build cummins and mod motors for a living). For those of you that don't know, you can buy a used set of Boss 302 rods or rods from a 2015+ 5.0 and they are factory forged. They are usually $150-200 for a perfectly good used set of rods. There are no cheap pistons though. The best I did was Manley -18cc forged pistons for $520 with a coupon. Basically I have a forged studded 4.6 motor for about $850. Max reliable hp 650-700. In other words it takes $850 to hold as much power as an LS lol
you dont need to get a better crank? what about heads or cams? im thinking of buying a 2v gt w a stick and it already has a vortec on it. any info or help is appreciated. i didnt know you could do what you said above. so i thank you for that little nugget lol. would you put together a motor for me if need be? again thanks for any help. whats the limiting factor of the 650-700 reliably? what would it take to get 800hp reliably? are you referring to rw or crank hp?
