@sexycorno as a previous owner of a procharged 5.0, it's the big red blowoff making that noise. He can shift to a higher gear and the noise will go away.
I have a bv57 on my paxton GT and while in car I think "fuck yeah I sound like a fighter jet" now I'm just going to think I'm dragging cardboard I'm dying looool
Only thing that gets me is that's a whole lot of noise and no pun intended for a whole lot of going nowhere that would bother me so much sounding like you're about to break the sound barrier and your car is crawling at a walking pace.
It depends on the application, turbos can be tuned and adjusted on the fly, and the procharger id have to change pulley size to make more boost. However on these 10-speed automatics, procharges go crazy because of the high rpm shifting keeps the boost high
Like the op already explained it’s a different type of super charger. However it’s called a centrifugal supercharger. Procharger is just one of the brands that produces them.
