Hopes are high for producer Ross Hunter on his lavish musical remake of LOST HORIZON. Although the film made a lot of money overseas it was both a critical and financial disappointment in America. LOST HORIZON became a pile-on for the critics in the wake of new wave grittier 70''s realism.
