One of most beautiful pieces of entertainment ever recorded. Everything about this is perfect, the singing, the playing and, of course, the dancing. Incredible.

I chose this one specifically because you got three absolute legends, an entirely black and talented orchestra which is Calloway's band at the time and everyone could sing and dance back then because that was a requirement to be in film. Not many people have even heard of the Nicholas Brothers or Cab Calloway. I had to choose this one because it's an amazing historic scene back when blacks were still marginalized even though they may be up in the republican states and out of the south where Jim Crow laws were prevalent.

Best tap dancing performance ever recorded, even Fred Astaire as well as many others hold the Nicholas brothers up as the gold standard - many dont realize you literally have to be an athelete to not only do the split going down, but to pull themselves up so smooth the way they did was something barely a handfull of dancers could do, im always amazed at this video and so glad they colorized it

These guys were acrobatic dancers. There was film where the younger brother ran up a pillar, did a backflp and continued dancing. No one has ever come close to their talent and performances. They also performed with the famous Glenn Miller Band on a couple of occasions. Many people were inspired by them, even down to the king of pop. Cab Calloway is the absolute legend. Many people were inspired by his lyrics and style. There was so much black talent in the previous century that I'd have to make a huge, huge list. Everyone could play an instrument. The explosion of musical talent has been lost. I partially blame that on record companies that were always trying to find the new hotness. Fun story: he bought himself a really expensive car and drove it to the south while on tour to rub it in their faces.

Beautiful reaction. I reacted the same the 1st time, bopping a long with the King Of Scat ( Cab Calloway), then u became perfectly still with ur mouth open when the amazing Nicholas Brothers performed, u even said OUCH (I said ouchie). But it was a beautiful thing.
