im only 17 but i love your videos, all the girls around me (i go to an all girls school) wear so much makeup and encourage me to do so, but its the minimal life for me
Thank you so much B, that really means a lot! ☺️ If it helps, I went to an all girls school too and I didn't wear ANY makeup until after I'd finished school x
Matilda Oh my!! I never thought youd see this!! Thank you so much 😌 PS. 'Annabella' is an amazing red lipstick from Nars (sorry to tempt you with another red) x
b t I'm in the same boat as you, except I graduated early and am currently in college. I'm more of a budget makeup person I really love the colourpop supershock blushes, they actually separate the matte and dewy formulas by putting the dewy ones in the highlighter section. My favorite shade is drive me crazy, but I think it was a limited edition color, but the formula is amazing no matter what color you end up getting.
lilpeoplez im in england so i cant get colourpop :( the drugstore doesnt have the biggest selection in what i like as generally there is a culture of wearing heavy makeup here
Ooh thank you for the suggestion! Will keep an eye out for it later this year on my travels 👍 Looking forward to going back to Asia after many years! x
WOW SO YOURE JUST GOING TO BE AN ANGEL AND END MY MULTI YEAR SEARCH AND RESEARCH FOR CREAM BLUSHES?! THANK YOU SO MUCH I CANT BELIEVE U CHOSE TO DO THIS HALLELUJA I CANT WAIT FOR THE REST
Already on my filming list for next year when I'm back from overseas! (All of my uploads since May were pre-filmed before I left Australia). A cream eyeshadow video will certainly be coming too! 👍 x
Ive been sooo obsessed with your “minimalist” makeup videos, i love them! Ive been more comfortable in my natural skin and getting over the thick-makeup “instagram model” look, and trying to find more affordable natural makeup products. Thanks for all the help !♥️
Just purchased Fenty Yacht Life today! In love with the shade but still can’t decide where to put it on 😂 my all time favourite is Nars Alice for yellow toned fair skin, heartbroken that it’s limited edition. In second place I have Bobbi Brown pot rouges because they look very dewy and healthy on the skin. Fresh Melon, Uber Beige and Blushed Rose are my favourite shades.
This video came at a perfect the time.I am fair skined(52yrs old) looking for a cream blush in a soft rosey hugh. Can't wait for the rest of the videos.
Hi Melissa! Glad this was good timing for you. I certainly think cream blushes sit more beautifully than powders on mature skin.. on all skin for that matter! ☺️ See you again soon for my next videos x
Thanks for this video. I've been wanting to get into cream blushes, but, I didn't know where to start. This really helps me with color references and textures.
the bite multisticks are a holy grail to me! i have very oily skin though, so blending has never been a problem and the matte texture makes them stay longer. going to check out some of your other recs though
Could you do your favourite sustainable skincare picks? Things that use reef safe ingredients and are in glass bottles? I'm really trying to be more plastic free but skincare is really important to me
Planning some sustainable makeup content this year, but skincare is a bit of a harder space - many of the products I use are in plastic bottles (but I recycle most through my local recycling collection, and I take everything else to TerraCycle so nothing goes to landfill). 'Reef safe' is a bit of a grey area - make sure you're following me on Instagram @matildaonvideo as I'll be talking about it next month! 👍☀️ x
Love those Bite multisticks! Also, I really like the Milk Beauty lip and cheek, and the Make Beauty Bisou Bisou lip and cheek stick. (Very close to Bite Beauty Cerise)
I am so in love with Fenty Beauty Match Shimmer Stix particularly Yacht Lyfe, Sinamon and Trippin as it is easy blend and multitasking which can be applied as eyeshadow and lipstick too. Happy Sunday! 😀😀😀
I love the Bite multisticks! I like running a stipple brush all over the product and then applying it to my check as blush. I find that that helps with a more even application because as you mentioned, they’re very matte!
I love your channel so much! The way you solely focus on the products, the simple straightforward style of your videos and your nice voice are awesome! Blushes are my favourite, so I excited for all the videos in this series 😊
I love this video! Can't wait for the next ones!! It's so cool that I can say that I have been here for longer than most of your other subscribers!! ♥️♥️♥️
I bought that Revlon Insta-blush at Priceline today because it was 40% off and I had a birthday voucher to use! It's so pretty and I can't wait to use it (especially when I'm travelling later this year!)
Many of these will give the effect of a glow if your skin itself is glowy and smooth underneath, but the most shimmery are definitely Fenty Match Stix! Then Chanel 20 and 21 have a very subtle shimmer in them ✨ x
This mini series-within-a-series is going to be one of my favourites of yours, I can tell! Loved this video. I also noticed the Frog Prince compact by Lipstick Queen in the box at the end; I bought that the other day, and it's earned a permanent place in my bag. Absolutely does not budge or fade. Love it!
Thanks to u now i’m addicted to blush stick. Easy to blend and so pretty. I bought the local brand from my country. Can’t wait to buy from another brand (hopefuly the high end one) ❤️
Ooh interesting! Nudestix's multi-use messaging should appeal to my style but the brand just hasn't jumped out at me, something about the shade range and highly-pigmented products perhaps x
Love your video. Blush is one of my fav part in makeup application. Most of times I just apply a bit of blush on my cheeks and lips , brush my eyebrows and I’m good to go. Love from Brisbane
You have to try the smash box blush sticks. They’re extremely creamy and so easy to blende. Even though they’re sticks, they feel a bit like a mousse when I use them with fingers.
I'm oily so I usually prefer powder, but I have some really good cream blushes that I take when I travel because I don't have to pack a brush to go with it. I use the Make Beauty Universal Stick- it's a pale pink color that turns into a sheer brick orange once you start blending it with your fingers. Makes me look very healthy and sunkissed. I also love Tata Harper Very Popular, which is amazing on the lips as well-- you already know! One of my favorite remains the Rituel de Fille Inner Glow Pigment in Desire. It's a scary-looking deep mauve (really on the cold, grey side) and it packs a punch in terms of pigment. Once I blend it on my cheeks, it looks exactly like a flush from the cold. I stretch it out from my under eye to my lower cheeks (I don't flush naturally, so it's a way to give some depth and color to my face). Really nice. As always, great video!
I usually prefer powder blushes since I have a rather oily skin, but I have a cream blush from Bobbi Brown that I mainly use in winter and I absolutely love it!
If it helps, other people with oily skin have left comments saying that very matte formulas like the Bite Multisticks or Nudestix blush sticks work better for them 👍 x
Those Chanel blush sticks look beauuuutiful, so I may have to give them a try. I have used Milk's lip+cheek sticks, but I am not crazy about them. They don't look as natural as the Glossier Cloud Paint (I wear Dusk almost everyday). Love your videos and look forward to a new one each week!
I love a cream blush, so much glow and prettiness, your Chanel coco rouge(?) review convinced me to buy one and I love it. My love for blush is helped by the fact that I get good, honest reviews from you :D
i just got my hands on the nars multi stick in maui, and i have to say that i love it! i'm using it as both eyeshadow and blush, and it's so creamy and smooth! (i also purchased a few rms beauty products after binging on your videos, and i love them so far!!)
i'm obsessed with cream blushes, so quick, easy and natural looking! can't wait to see the rest of this series 😊i wish we could get bite beauty in the uk
I haven't try the Chanel ones, interested now!! My favourite is Nudestix all over face colour, I have few of them, In the nude is my fav! Thanks sharing with me Matilda, big fan of cream make-up products Xx
Thank you Lynn! Nudestix's multi-use messaging should appeal to my style but the brand just hasn't jumped out at me, something about the shade range and highly-pigmented products perhaps x
Blush is easily my favourite product! Have 5 glossier cloud paints, a Nars liquid blush, millions of powder blushes but by far my favourite is the Maura mercies lip and cheek- it’s beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone xxx
the wet and wild cream blush in floral majority is so good! My favorite way to use it is to warm it up on the back of my hand than dab it on with my beauty blender or a brush! It's so good!
My favourite cream blush is from smashbox! It's a stick cream blush in the shade Beverly Hills blush! It's GORGEOUS! I'm definitely in the market for a Brown/red blush because I feel like it very subtly contours my face and honestly I suck at contouring 😂😂😂 also I'm so excited for this series! I love cream products 😍😍😍
I was not sure about the Charlotte Tilbury Formentera, bit with tour recommendation it will be mine pretty soon.. I really like Rouge Bunny Rouge blush wands, really versatile colours and great formula
I don't own any of these, but considering I have oily/ acne prone skin, I'm not the one to use these products, but I just recently purchased nudestix nudies all over face colour matte. I have it in the shade naughty and n' spice. I haven't used it enough to know whether I love it, but I find it harder to make it look nice on my blemished/ rosacea cheeks, but I imagine this formula would look good and blend more easily on your skin perhaps. I mean I'm usually a powder blush girl because of my oily skin, so this stick style blush is new to me and doesn't look quite as nice on me the way powder or the cloud paints by glossier do. Maybe try the nudestix, plus it comes with a buffing brush on the other side that you can screw off and wash to keep clean, which is so convenient considering many brands don't think of that.
Thank you for the suggestion! Nudestix's multi-use messaging should appeal to my style but the brand just hasn't jumped out at me, something about the shade range and highly-pigmented products perhaps. I prefer something with a bit of glow and dew for my skin type and their range is very matte, but I'm glad that suits oily skin types instead! x
ChaoticDoll I’m dyyying to try the cloud paints but right now I have the milk makeup blush sticks in the shades quickie (my fav), werk and perk. They are dewy but I just set them with a translucent powder bc in oily too 😊
Yes!!! I was hoping cream blush would be the next instalment of your product pile series, and splitting it up just means more fun :) I much prefer cream over powder blush, and I know you're someone I can look to for ideas. Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk has been my go-to since I love a nude cheek and it's so easy to use (and somewhat budget friendly), but I really want to try some of these! Something that surprised me as a favourite is the LaQa & Co. B'Lighter in Peacher's Daughter. As the title suggests, it has some shimmer in it, so it doubles as a highlighter. I usually use Cloud Paint across my cheeks and then dab it on my apples for a bit of lighter peach glow, and love the combo! Looking forward to more in this series. Also loving Nudestix--I just bought one of their trios of mini sticks, and I'm mostly interested in using them as lip pencils, but they work well as blush (or on your eyes!)
Cream blush is my favorite category as well and I love a lot of the items you selected as well! If you haven't tried the Nudestix Nudies all over face color- matte please do... they're amazing! I also curious about the Illamasqua colour veil blusher...that might be the next edition to my collection.
Thank you Christina! Nudestix's multi-use messaging should appeal to my style but the brand just hasn't jumped out at me, something about the shade range and highly-pigmented products perhaps. I have one of the Illamasqua blushes though and really like it! 👍 x
I love blushes!!! I think I own a lot of them too but I always try to use different ones everyday. At the moment my favourite blushes are glossier and channel's cruise collection.
My fave is the Nars multiple stick in Maui. The product has the perfect tone and texture. I regret not picking the Alice shade when it was still around.
I recently bought Fenty’s ridic it looks scary but if you blend it in with patting motions with your fingers in turns into the prettiest sheer flush of colour on the cheeks.
I love cream blush sticks, although I don't usually apply from the tube. I depot them into a small Muji pillbox (it holds 6 blushes, a cream highlighter and a cream bronzer) so it's more portable for travel. I also like seeing the colours side by side, which invites mixing and experimentation. The Chanel blush sticks are a favourite, but I also love the W3ll People multi-use colour sticks - the formula is more pigmented than Nars or Chanel, but still easy to blend, and doesn't have that "siliconey" feel that Chanel/Nars have.
Matilda, if you’re really into cream blushes, I would suggest Milk Makeup’s lip and cheek sticks in the shades perk and rally. This is the best cream blush I’ve tried and I think you’d really like it too! 😃
blush is my favorite too! you should try de milk make up sticks, they are super creamy and dewy :) I have the shade Werk but looking forward to get the one in Quikie.
Greetings from London!!! loved this video!!! blush sticks are my favourite too!!! i am eagerly waiting for your favourites in eyeshadow sticks/pencils!!! Big love!!! kisses!!
I love cream blush. My go to stick this summer was Laura Mercier's Bohemian Flush Cheek Crayon. I hope she'll bring out other colors in this formula because it was fantastic.
Ahhhhh my favorite face products ! Cream blushes 🌷🌸🌷🌸. Laura Mercier in Bohemian Flush Cheek crayon is foolproof 👍🏼. Mineral Fusion makes a 3 in 1 color stick that has nice pigmentation and lasts on me for hours !! And as for an option from the drugstore, Maybelline and NYX make nice blush sticks ! I’ve promised my self I’m gonna try the Wet n Wild and the Chanel as well💕💜💕
Hi! I really liked that you had such a variety of sticks:) I love Charlotte Tilbury and Nars. I have tried Beautycounter and the natural formulation glides nicely on my combination skin. Great video! I missed your cat!
I own a few multisticks (and every color you mentioned!) and I prefer them on my cheeks! I usually use two colors to make a gradient of some sort if it makes sense, or just to match my fancy. I find them very easy to blend with a dampened beauty blender. If I'm in a hurry I use said beauty blender or more often than not my fingers to apply a quick wash of color on my eyes as well as on my lips. On the lips they are very easy to use for a blotted lipstick look. Though I've owned them for a while, I've been waiting just as long a time for your review of them. Thanks Matilda :)
Not marketed as a blush stick, but I use Coola's tinted liplux everyday as a blush. It's quite sheer so you can have the color as light or dark as you want by building it up. Best part, it has SPF! I use the color bonfire.
Have you tried the W3ll People multi use sticks? They used to come in more colors, but the three they have now do a great job of covering different sort of looks. And their bronzer stick could act as a blush or eyeshadow, too
Have you tried the Clinique chubby sticks? That range has sticks for cheeks, eyes, lips, highlight, and contour. Definitely check them out if you haven’t already!
I would highly recommend Nudestix In The Nude. Great colour, consistency and staying power. I like to apply it to my synthetic brush and stipple it on my skin. I’m definitely going to try more shades.
Thank you Cathy! Nudestix's multi-use messaging should appeal to my style but the brand just hasn't jumped out at me, something about the shade range and highly-pigmented products perhaps x
New to your channel but definitely been binge-watching for the past week! I had some trouble blending out the Bite multi sticks in store last time I checked them out and chickened out on buying them. They’re definitely a matte texture which scares me a little, even for eyes. Would you still recommend the Bite multi sticks?
Thank you Melissa! They're very matte and because my skin is normal to dry (not oily, which they probably suit more), I actually prefer to use them as a cream eyeshadow 👍 x
I love your collection! Sadly my skin is as oily as it gets and cream products are quite difficult to pull off. However, I love Nars powder blushes and I may give a try to the matte multiples aftes your swatches.
Other people with oily skin have left comments saying that very matte formulas like the Bite Multisticks or Nudestix blush sticks work better for them 👍 x
YES! This is the video i needed today. BTW: I own Nars the Matte Multiple in Siam and although it's a very bright color, it looks great on my medium toned skin. And it also works amazing as a lip stain. Some people say that those products are drying or hard to apply, but i don't find it dry at all as a lip stain, although it does take time to apply it to cheeks since it's such a bold color that needs blending. I love its longevity too (it lasts for 8+ hours on my oily skin). I also love YSL's Babydoll Kiss and Blush, it's so easy to apply and it lasts the whole day on my oily skin. I want to try Chanel's Les Beiges stick next.
oh my gosh, I was HOPING you would do a product pile on cream blushes, they're my all-time favorite category too! such a beautiful collection, I definitely need to watch these videos with caution haha. Just bought RMS lip2cheek in Illusive from the VIB sale, the only blush stick I own is by nudestix (would definitely recommend that you check out this brand, they're similar to Bite and are sold at Sephora)! As always, can't wait for the next one!
Thank you! Nudestix's multi-use messaging should appeal to my style but the brand just hasn't jumped out at me, something about the shade range and highly-pigmented products perhaps. I prefer something with a bit of glow and dew for my skin type and their range is very matte x
