This is a short product review of two items that I use daily and felt like would be of worth to you, the fly fisherman. First is a new rod .... St Croix's Imperial in a 9', 7 wt rod that I bought to replace a damaged bank robber fly rod. I can tell you that I was very skeptical and after using the rod several times, I am very impressed with its ability to load the fly line allowing me to punch the line in and under cover for smallmouth here in NW Wisconsin. The price was also nice as these rods sell for the $300 dollar range and in fact I bought a B rod for $240 dollars.
The NRS Workboot Wetshoes are a staple with me and I have been using these for three years now .... but just purchased a new pair and found that they are even better! They now have a side zipper that allows for easier take-off once you are pooped and off the water. At under $80 you will be amazed at how well these boots work while fly fishing or just paddling.
