Nice to know your not still with us , was worried you lived in that area that got hit with tornadoes , I have an aunt that lives down there and she was spared any damages to her house.
Dude just wanted to thank you for your videos .. I’m still in the beginning stages of casting, coating, ect. ect. Been at it for 10 months or so . I have 9mm 124 gr 45ACP 230 gr TL bullets down to pretty good Science… just started 357/38 Keith & 44 Keith bullets today .. ended up with few wrinkles at first then went back to basics on cleaning molds And there coming out good ..
It takes a bit of a push to get up the courage to start rattle can camo spray painting your guns and magazines. Once you build up to it the magic starts happening. I have been practicing on other things before I go head first off the diving board into the deep end. I found out laundry bags and fishnet pantyhose work good for camouflage. I also learned you want to use the lightest color first and cover it up with progressive darker colors for the best finish results. I'm glad I figured this out on first before moving to guns and screwing it all up. The U.S. Military spray paint Aervoe holds up a little better than Wal-Mart paint and is also a bit flatter with less reflections. When in a hurry and while trying to get what you need NOW instead of later the Wal-Mart paints will do.
LOL I did the same this but I camouflaged our trash can. I just used local leaves and branches and tall grasses with the Rush-Oleum Camo, by the end it was looking pretty darn good.
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you too brother! So you noticed my 2 x 4 bucket agitator! 😂😂😂👍🇺🇸😁✌️ all the crazy fun we have…. A Special God Blessing to ya sir!!
Most of my tools are painted in some cheep rattle can color. That's what's normal on construction sites. Makes perfect sense to do the same with mags. I conjured up just about the same delousing wash basin at my last place of residence. Love your videos. !!!!!!!
Once I got a wet tumbler with stainless pins I’ll never go back to corncob media. After tumbling if I leave the cases in overnight the cases take on a darker camouflage appearance
I must say, that has been one of the best additions to my shop that I have thoroughly enjoyed. And I am also exceptionally proud that I did it myself!! 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Elvis - buddy; thanks for the videoo... I was debating putting some flex seal on the bottom half of some mags, but decided not to because it would get hung up in the mag pouch
A pretty large batch of primers and powder hit the market 2 days before christmas, i think they were sold out 2 hours. , some lucky dogs got in on it just by the skin of their teeth.
Lol, do a video on your shop sink. I get the jist of it, but that's light years better then what I do haha. I also went out and bought a wet tumbler but I had a cement mixer and a bucket with sealing lid this whole time...man I feel dumb lol.
Love your videos. I’m still watching your videos from 5years ago. Kind of new to the powder coating and stuff so ya you got a lot of great information and helping me a bunch. Thanks again
The bucket in the mixer is a much better idea than just throwing them in my mixer with concrete stuck in it. Boy did I mess up some 45 brass. Lol. Have a safe and Happy New Year my friend!!🇺🇸🇺🇸💥💥
Also wanted to tell you that most all my learning this is from you and Fortune cookie .. it’s crazy that most people I talk to about this casting and coating they have no clue what I’m talking about .. what/who got you started casting and coating??? One more thing that’s a shit ton of 38spl brass … Thanks again keep ‘em coming 👍🏽
Great video, great tips and Ideas! I really like those stands you have in shop for your lead pots, I don’t have much room but I’m picking up a lee pot this next week and thought that the stand you made works perfect to keep your molds all right in one spot underneath and the pots are higher and easy to grab and not in the way. Thank you for your content.
i havent ever painted mags but its a cool idea i actually have been sending my odd ball ar15 mags out to friends getting in to ar15 and stocking pmags 20s 30s and 40s
I see your press in the back. I only recently learned a lee progressive could have the rod removed. Could you do a video on how to use it as a turret style. I've wanted a turret upgrade, but if the lee can do both. Proof positive. I want a lee.
When I resize or just deprime my brass, I use my lee load master. I put a sizing die or univ. depriming die in the #1 and a 45 sizing die in the #3 hole (to keep the die head level). This way I can use the brass feed on the load master and deprime very fast! Thanks for the video! Hope you have a great New Years!
Does cleaning your brass with just Dawn and Lemi Shine without the steel pins do a decent job? I like the way my brass looks with the steel pins but they're a pain to separate from the brass once cleaned. As with all your video's, I enjoyed this one as well.
