I feel like there needs to be a medium added somewhere between light & deep. As a warm spring, most of my "ideal" colors are medium depth & medium saturation. Anything too bright, too light, too cool or too dark is less than ideal. So while I can wear "soft" colors especially in makeup or neutrals, they absolutely cannot be too grey or muddy. So I'm not sure being categorized as warm soft really works but warm medium does since there is no Light Autumn. I'm such a goldilocks lol. It's always a compromise since warm spring colors are not always available so I end up with lots of olive & plum & black as my neutrals since camel & brown have been hard to find. Same goes for jeans, your choices are usually blue, black or white. Sigh.

Very excited to see more about the expanded systems! You ladies have explained these concepts so clearly, i look forward to even more detail and complexity. after a few years of reading and researching and feeling lost about my own palette, i finally feel confident that i am a clear/bright spring! 🌼

My favorite video of yours is of 3 celebrity women that you showed as springs, they each looked fabulous then the same 3 as summers and bingo they were just one smidge better. That video taught me so much because I have been also classified as both.

This is so fun! I am enjoying this deep dive as I am a winter that is now salt and pepper. Seeing the clear, cool, deep range makes me more excited to see where I fit in this level💜

Yikes! I'm more confused than ever. Looking at these greens, I'm thinking I'm more of an autumn, but I was coming into the spring category before. Those bright greens are just wrong for me. I'm a soft, neutral. I hope the next 16 color Palette accounts for neutrals. Grrr.

I don't know about eye color, but retinal scans are used for security since they are unique to a person, so you were on the right track with the finger print analogy :) The patterns are unique even if the color looks similar

Finally. I think people get very confused and start making stuff up to make sense of it when you don't include all 12. Like soft, a dominant characteristic doesn't work on its own. Baby blue is soft. Can I wear it as a soft autumn? Heck no. You need more information to make it work.

I was getting frustrated feeling like I didn’t fit anywhere until I heard you mention ‘deep, cool, & soft’ on one of your other videos. Everything clicked into place for me after that ❤

Interesting, and I am looking forward to seeing the 16 color wheel as well. However I have a question about casual summer hats. Should I match my fedora to my skin tone, hair color or find a contrasting color? 😎
@MaryYoungblood-xy8vg

Depends on your dominant trait. If you are a clear you will want contrast. Light or deep you will want to go like for like with value. If you are undertone dominant, yes go with what works best for your undertones.

So if you are soft cool and medium to deep do you fit into this 12 season system? Or would I fit better in the 16 seasons?

I was draped as cool light clear. Due to my color consultant I don't fit into 12 seasons as I'm too bright to be a summer and too light to be a winter. So I'm curious about 12 seasons.

I’m a winter, Clear, I guess I’m either a cool or clear winter. If someone is a winter 4, clear 6 does that make them a clear winter

You lost me on the Dakota Johnson video. On the right were soft pale pastels which might work for a light summer. The colors on the left she looked great in were soft summer colors and she's a soft summer. It worked perfectly.

What box do you pick if you are between soft and clear? I like my colors mostly clear, but if they're not toned down a bit, I can't wear them. However, soft colors look blah on me.

I don't know what you're doing Lucinda. You went from always giving off Grandmacore vibes to hot older mom. I followed y'all on FB and just found you here and I'm shocked! But in a good way. LOL The hairstyle, clothing, glowing skin, etc.... all suits you. Whatever you are doing keep doing it. You look fabulous!

There are two variants of the 16-palette system: 4x4 or flow-true. I use flow/true.

Im confused. In 6 palette, im definetly soft. Hair is neutral and I think skin is quite neutral too. But can look grey, red or yellow if I wear wrong colors. My eyes are green/blue/teal ish, so soft. So i definetly look soft. But I can wear soft fine as long as not too grey, but look good in grey. And in black. But not pure white. Need medium contrast, pastels wash me out, but i can wear deep as well, atleast if its teal/green/blue. I think bright spring makes me more Alive. But its confusing since bright is opposite to soft in 6 palette and I can wear a lot of softs as well. they dont make me sparkle. But they work well for neutrals. Olive green or army green makes me yellow. And pure white does too. I dont think hue matters to me, its more which color it is and how much yellow/grey/blue they have. Or too close to my skin tone (pastels) make me look sick.
