This channel has changed my life. I was literally doing EVERYTHING wrong: 1. Let my hair air-dry a much as possible to save it from heat damage 2. Blowdried the crown first to try to get volume in there while leaving mids/ends wet 3. Used the least amount of products possible in an attempt to avoid build-up, dullness and weigh-down. 4. Didnt wash my scalp/roots good enough to try not to strip out all the oil so my hair wouldnt get too dry. 5. Used “natural” products instead of professional ones … i could go on but holy crap my hair became lustrous, voluminous and gorgeous literally the first time i took this guys advice. Like night and day people. Listen to this man.

Hi Chris,I have always dried my hair upside down to give it volume (it's fine but a lot of it) and have always used correct products but always felt hesitant about putting anything on the roots as it felt too heavy and hair would go flat ) your videos have explained that 1: I was using too much product and 2: not getting the roots dry properly to maintain the volume ! So excited I found your channel and so excited to try these on my very fine and thinning hair. Does the Redkin 18 have heat protection? So I keep it on just the roots and use the blow dry cream on my ends? I have a above the shoulder bob. Thanks for all the products recommendations. The only one I currently use is the Pureology leave in but will get the Redkin heat protection now because I'm out a d then the blow dry cream once I finish what I have. Thanks again!

Redken Stay High 18 has apparently been discontinued. 😢 Do you recommend using their suggested replacement (Root Lifter Volumizing Spray) or another product for the big, big Texas hair (cause the higher the hair, the closer to Jesus, y’all 😂)

Hi Chris I have naturally wavy curly fine hair that tends to frizz but I wear my hair straight. I use olaplec treatments leave in conditioners etc so I have good products but but what I want is to not use a flat iron all the time I want to use a hair dryer I have a round brush dryer but it makes my ends feel puffy. Chris, that channel changed my everyday routine so much! It seems I was doing everything wrong (the good thing was probably that I was not doing much): 1. Hair mask before shampoo 2. Airdrying 3. A bit of experimentation with tik tok like heatless curs etc etc Since I started to follow your channel, I can see that my hair looks better than ever before, I don't need to waste time on experimenting with Tiktok trends, I don't need to experiment with buying tiktok famous products and just save so much time by washing my hair every 4-5 days and getting very nice results. I was wondering if you able to suggest any other great products similar to the Redken volume cream? Redken products are unfortunately tested on animals. I only buy products not tested on animals. Ok so I did what you told me to do. I realized that I was not blowing my hair out correctly. Pulling down on the strands, instead of up. Usually my hair feels flat and lifeless with 24 hours. Well I used a diy shampoo for oily hair that I made up and blowed it dry like you explained and I am on day 3! I can't believe it. Now I just need to figure out which leave in conditioner works for me.

Chris, I wanna start by saying that Ive been following you for ages now and my hair improved like crazy. Yet, Ive using all the morroconoil volumizing products but with no result. Sometimes I do get a bit of volume from the dry texture spray alone (just spraying it on dry hair and fluffing it until I get volume basically) and it only lasts one day. I would love to see a video from you explaining how to get volume on wash (and styling) day that stays until the next wash, or a routine for 2nd and 3rd day for volumized hair. I am really at a loss here man, I bought all these products and nowitfeels like a waste of money.

I have coarse wavy hair. So I just twist my hair and put scrunchies around it for a few hours then pull the scrunchies out and I have curl and volume With my hair rollers are a waste of time because the scrunchies give me a similar result

I am a 55-year-old woman and my hair was over processed by using a 30 volume developer with a highlift hair color. I had a lot of hair breakage. I saw your video and all the Plex three. I will buy that. But I also want to know to protect my hair I am using all the plaques 6, 7, and 9. I do not wash my hair every day. I work from home. Is it OK to use these styling products that also have a protectors in them. I use my blow dryer in the lowest setting and I use my heated curling brush on the lowest setting is all of this OK I really need to rebuild my hair, so I can continue with my stylist in August. I had to start doing my hair on my own for a porous short period of time. I do have cosmetology experience, but that was a very long time ago. I had lost my job and was trying to save some money. I have baby fine hair and need volume. I have used Velcro rollers but my hair breaks. I am presently using a leave in moisturizer and oil. Should I avoid the Velcro rollers or is there another type of roller that won’t break my hair?

I’m actually a very nice person, but the comments are cracking me up. As a high-schooler from 87-91, these tips are so obvious. Of course you put volumizer at the roots! Of course you rat your hair! But, he forgot a really good one. Beveling the hair with a curling iron at the root!! It’s not too damaging because the hair at the root is the newest and healthiest. 😊
