Professional Welder judges our first year student's welds 

I'm self taught and if someone told me "that's a really crappy looking weld" I'd take it as a compliment for realizing it's a weld.

Self taught starting to get the hang of it. Been using a $100 flux core on 120v 15a. Just up graded to a used Lincoln 140 mig pak. Made sure to put in a 120v 20a. Been practicing a little with the flux core. No money for gas currently. It was night and day difference. I also up grade from a saveface helmet with no controls to a used cheap Lincoln with the two knob controls inside by screen. But will have to play with the controls cause gets so dark other then the puddle I loose sight of where I’m going. The save face would allow flash sometimes. Like that he explains what’s wrong with the welds. But at the beginning talks about what happens when not enough current or to much. Would of liked to see his at the end.
