Programming the Schlage Lever 

If you have 2 doors with these installed, just superglue the key lock so you can't use a bump key and make sure you change the batteries before they die. If the battery goes dead on one door, you still have the other door to get in and then you can change the battery on the dead one. This is more secure than any other lock. (That I've found or can think of)

I just swapped out our current Schlage (keyed) lock for the FE595 today. I watched a video as well as read the instructions. I am a 62yo lady and it was pretty straight forward. The "beep" is VERY quiet though? I even put a new battery in. My PROBLEM is that the locking mechanism doesn't line up well with the strike plate on the door frame?! I even removed it and put the old strike plate back! (They are identical). I have loosened the screws holding the unit together and attempted to "lift" the whole set up as much as I could. The door lock/bolt is sitting on the bottom of the strike plate opening.. still. The door will close if I push very hard.. but it shouldn't be that low. Any suggestions?? Thanks

how do you lock it from the outside on the keypad without the key when leaving your home

how do you program if you don't know the original code?

Do you have a video on removal of the cylinder from this lock for re-keying?

I just installed this and it does NOT automatically lock. I can open it with or without the codes. NO troubleshooting user guide came with it.

how can I erase users codes?

It's a Schlage produced technical video... of course they will pronounce it correctly.

I have a brand new lock that is unusable.
