Hope you guys enjoy this trailer.
Project Reality is a series of combined arms tactical first-person shooter video game modifications which aim to create a realistic combat environment where the core gameplay encourages teamwork and coordination. The original version, Project Reality: BF2, was released in 2005 for Battlefield 2, it is still being updated on a regular basis and became a stand-alone game in 2015.
Special thanks to PRTA for providing the server for the cinematic shots and CRC Clan for acting and helping around the project.

I still play this game sometimes, but in SP. Didn't have any internet connection, so i have to depend on wifi corners or local cafes with free wifi on it. And each time my clan play, i can't join up because of other irl stuffs. Guys at PRID (Indonesian clan) is still playing once in a week, tho.

What killed PR for me was that none of the experienced players made any separate squads. Instead they circle jerked together in their own squads. This in most cases left over half the server running around aimlessly without proper coordination or teamwork with mostly getting whatever kits they got their hands on. It was this or experienced players piled into the opposing team. PR is excellent if you get a good squad leader. Then it becomes a great experience. It is a terrible experience if you get someone with a broomstuck up in their blackhole (Not the unusually strict ones, I mean the REALLY, really strict ones) or a squad where you have no squad leader at all.

The experience this game showed me: -Landed into Omaha beach with a company sized force, no one made it to dog green. Nazis won the first wave. An authentic experience. -Almost shit my pants the first time our convoy at Fallujah west got ambushed. First time I saw a man fly two feet away from the gunner seat. -Fought through a screwed up situation in Ia Drang after we landed, the screams of "Saknam" haunting me to this day. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the creekbed getting burned by Napalm though. -Re-enacted a scene from Black Hawk Down as a .50 cal gunner on a Humvee, died before getting back home after constant gunfire. -Learned how to lead a small squad from past experiences with old friends and enemies. - Gave me PTSD. 10/10 would play again and again.

Damn this is fucking awesome, the clip when the tank is hit by an rpg is so real, it's so common to be just chillin' and suddenly shit starts to blow up in an intense firefight. Loved the video a lot keep it up!

I literally just got into playing project reality a couple days ago because of this channel, and I would like to say thank you for introducing it to me. It is kind of sad that I got into it really late into its life but I can still find some servers here, and having played Squad I can passionately say that project reality is better by a long shot.

Excellent trailer! And I have 2 aquestions: 1. Roughly a year ago, I was reading that due to the success of Squad, PR's player count plummeted and that it's essentially dead. Considering this "trailer"- is it true? 2. Having only played Squad, and knowing it aims to be a commercial take on PR, is there a reason for me to try PR over Squad? Thanks to whoever will be willing to answer.

1. PR player base is still going strong, it may not be like it use to but far from "dead". 2. i noticed that there are less team work and players that actually know what their doing plus the community of PR are just way better than Squad's (my own opinion of course) The main reason why i made this trailer is to show people that our community is still out there and waiting for the new boys and girls to experience/explore this wonderful game.

I was on this map on PR the other day, all I remember is that I and obviously my team were wearing German uniforms. We all ran into a building for cover, but inside there was some trance being played and everybody was dancing and having a good time. I almost fell off my chair with laughter. About 15 players were in on this battlefield rave! There are really some good times that have been had in PR. Good Video!! Wish I had a better GPU and cant wait for the update.

It's interesting that alot of people asked me the same question, So long story short, Squad is fun and all but my feelings stays with PR pure of the good memories and community of veteran players. It's makes the game unique. Don't get me wrong, Squad is fine too! Hell i even kickstarted Squad, back in the day it was called Project reality 2. But yeah i don't get the same feeling in Squad then in PR simple is that.

If only the North American players had a semi-decent server. I mean I don't mind playing on PRTA, but its not really an english speaking server. I got into the game through the COOP servers, met a lot of good people there, and eased my way into PvP and had a blast.... Honestly I cried a bit while watching this, because the fun times I suicide bombed people, threw rocks, ran people over, first times in the tanks/jets, attempting to fly a helicopter and crash instantly, meeting hilarious people, all that most likely is gone and wont come back. At least for me. I miss PR.....

As an huge ex-BF2 fan it warms my heart to see the game still live at least because of mods. Does it still run that old engine? I've never played actual PR online, preffered Arma series as PR lacked some sandboxity and simplicity in terms of editing missions, but it seems to be an epic fun. Is it anything compared to Squad?

I'm in south Africa and my ping is constantly above 210ms. Playable until you squad leading, and then shit goes all CQB then you feel like an ass when you empty a mag out at a dude then he just erases you

Pr is a good game but honestly it's getting dated. Squad is a much better, more full experience. In my personal opinion one of the only things pr has over squad is the lack of a set-in-stone meta. That and actual CAS.

Id love it if something didnt break every time i try to run it, the entire community was actually nice, and the playerbase was actually sizeable outside of a quarantine.
