Thanks. Great video. Exactly the problem on my wife's 2002 volvo v70xc. Local shop wanted almost $4000 to replace the ABS pump and control module. The code was BCM-0700. Google led me to your video. Found a 15 amp fuse blown where it should have been a 30 amp fuse. The shop totally did not look, I found it after watching your video. It was a 10 cent fuse, replaced it and drove the car a couple hundred feet for the computer to reset. Now all is good, except I am looking for a new local shop. Thank you.
My 2001 V70 with nearly 300k miles had its ABS and STC lights came on a few weeks ago. Everything I had seen pointed to the ABS module and/or speed sensors, but more likely the module. I was preparing for a costly job. Luckily, I caught this video from FCP, went to check the fuses and one of the two ABS 30A fuses was MISSING! Replaced and lights off! Easy (and cheap!) fix! Thanks FCP!!!!!!!!!
I checked all my abs fuses ( inside and out) they are ok. My light didn't come on until after I changed my front struts. I had no issues with them or brakes after ( except light) only thing I had a problem with was right side wheel speed sensor was difficult to remove ( bolt was over tightened)
Got a 2001 S60, recently the near side wheel was getting hot due to a sticking calliper. I’m hoping at the most my ABS ring is cracked. Also had my control arms changed not sure if that’s relevant? traction control goes mad when going slow, constantly going off. It also threw the code P1550 - speed signal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I have a 2004 xc70 with brake failure ABS light on dash. Instrument cluster dials and shift indicator light not functioning. Vehicle slow to accelerate. Engine very hot. Son said he had to drive through a pretty deep puddle after a rainstorm, and a few hours later everything went haywire.
How’s it going FCP Euro. I just bought a 2004 Volvo S60 2.5T off of somebody and I noticed that there was just more of a problem than just the brakes after I bought it. It seems to be that there’s some electrical issue because my mileage meter isn’t moving nor the speedometer and the tachometer after a while of driving drops to zero. Any feedback you can give? 2005 xc70 (2.5T), ABS/anti-skid message comes on intermittently while driving then goes away randomly. Sometimes anti-skid message by itself. Any ideas?

got the same error code, and abs sometimes work,sometimes not. so what is next step - change driver module? i've heard it must be same serie number,otherwise it won't work
Out of the two ABS fuses in the engine compartment 11B/14 and 11B/19, only one is getting 12 volts and the other has no voltage, but both fuses are good. Is this normal? Because i have already opened up the BCM and tried to repair the solder joints but to no avail.
that is to say my brain box cannot communicate with the bcm. Oddly enough, after a phantom powered code reader was attatched by a technician, the odometer started working for about 5 miles, which makes me think he somehow charged a capacitor through the CAN network, but this is a total guess.

Hi Ruslan, I would bring the car back to your local service center and have them check the code again and see which oxygen sensor the code is specifically for. Since you already replaced your front oxygen sensor, it could still be your rear oxygen sensor needs to be replaced.
i have a 2004 v70 2.5 liter is their a fuse or relay for the fuse pump .one more thing caralmostfull of gas before i started workin on it check fuel rail it spitout gas afterward when finsh tried to crank after putin back . i put a new pcv onit change a few more things. Sounds like a set-up to make a video. Who would put a 10 amp fuse interested of 30amp. And if someone did replace 30 amp with 10amp. that also tells me that the 30amp failed at some point as well.
Hi Jose, typically a short will cause a fuse to blow. That can be due to the fraying of wires, an electrical component that is failing and drawing more current than usual, or a conductor being exposed to the liquids/elements. Another thing to consider is if the fuse has been replaced with the wrong amperage fuse.
Jay i watch all your videos but cant find one with same proplem.i have the same blue 2001 volvo s60 t5. It has no dash lights wont crank over road side people said battery new has power to fuses but none to ignition. So has power check all fuses do you have any idea i would bring it in to you but im in australia
Hello Michael, unfortunately it's tough to say for sure what's causing the issue without seeing the car in person. It can be a fuse, relay, module, etc. that's causing the issue.
