As a citizen when I see or interact with Police I see confidence+respect=good. However arrogance=bad. I don't like or trust arrogance. I expect a cop to be a professional,know that his job is to protect and serve,then do so.
Good show! It’s attitudes like this that give cops the reputations for being pushy arrogant pigs. You want respect and friendliness. How about showing it to others and a little empathy for the people you needlessly harass might not hurt.
You know not of which you speak. You're wanting someone who is a pushover friend. Not the case with an authority figure. Whether it be a parent, teacher, boss or police officer. They command respect and deserve it. They're in charge. They need to take charge to be in charge. Period.
Ok next time an armed criminal doesn’t want to go back to prison, I’m sure talking nice and being gentle with them will be key 👍 Being nice to the wrong person gets cops killed. Be firm and respectful, not nice.
