That's beautiful, in Tübingen in Germany we have something kinda similar, but without any animation, you really should ask someone at the tübinger Schokoladenmarkt if you could do this this or next year!! I believe it has a great potential..
What does blender not do, absolutely amazing funny thing is I've been using blender for quite a while now I was looking for a software program to do mapping for video all along it's sitting right there in my blender didn't know it absolutely amazing
I just saw this video and it is absolutely amazing. Do you know any online tutorial or courses to learn the basics of projection mapping for beginners?
I had assumed stuff like this required you to have a layer that compensates for the albedo of the target surface, like for areas that are redder, you need to dim the red and boost the cyan of the respective pixels in the projection, brighter areas need to be projected on with darker pixels and vice-versa...
Great talk, nice ideas, but i would have been really interested in the way they matched up the beamers projecting correctly on to the building, so that the baked animation works nicely
So, technically there still is the Blender internal engine. I think that would have done nicely and it's a lot faster than cycles, usually. Especially with emissive/shadeless objects. Or am I missing something?
Hello! Brent i really liked your talk! I actually use blender with live performance groups as well, i would love to know more about how you used music to sync with the live orchestra
I'm looking forward to Eevee as a fully functional render engine for that reason. It may be even faster than Blender Internal for a lot of video rendering purposes.
