Correction: At 13:36, the AGGAGG (Shine-Dalgarno sequence) is on the mRNA, whereas the UCCUCC is on the 16s rRNA. Somehow, I managed to put them the other way around 😢

This is extremely detailed and clear, thank you for creating this and the other videos on your channels. As a chemist, I've noticed two details: - you keep naming complementary sequences in the 3'-5' direction, instead of using standard 5'-3' direction; for example the anticodone of AUG is CAU in the standard order, because the coupling is anti-parallel, but you say UAC. I understand that this is for educational clarity, but at times is not immediately obvious which of the two complementary sequences is named in the standard 5'-3' direction. - at 16:00, the way you note the hydrolysis of GTP attached to IF2 contains a contradiction. You can't hydrolise GTP into GDP and PPi (=inorganic pyrophosphate), because this conjures a phosphorus atom out of nowhere: it's either GMP and PPi or GDP and Pi (inorganic orthophosphate). Which is the case? I hope this is helpful.
