People have different tastes and those change with time and age. Same thing in any entertainment adjacent industry and theres nothing wrong with it. If anything it’s nice that there is so much variety out there.
I didn't go to prom for either my junior or senior year of high school because I saw how much money one of my older brothers had to spend on it. So for my junior year in 2010 I just played League of Legends all night, and then for my senior prom in 2011 I played Mount and Blade: Warband. It was fun.
