@@morganlefay195 I agree with you. I think the feature that affect your look the most is your jawline. That is because your jawline affect your entire face, from the nose to teeth to your side looks. It's also the one thing that you can *naturally changed* . 1. By mewing and chewing gums daily. 2. Weight training and eating on calories deficit to lose body fat. By far the most effective and fastest way to have defined jawline. Weight training when do it correctly (proper form and enough intensity) you will have the right posture and a much better looking face. Some people achieved this in a year naturally, and if you're on supplements (legal and perfectly healthy sup like protein powder/creatine/cafeine/multi-vitamins) then it's 6 - 8 months if you're skinny fat.
More often than not you don’t ‘think’ of features and decide if someone is attractive to you at all, but you look at someone and see that the person is beautiful (or not) without assessing the features one by one
I have protruding large ears. I had no idea it was a "defect" at all until one person in grade school pointed it out. I got insecure of my ears ever since, even to this day.
Patricia i have a “friend” like that. They don’t make fun of me but my close friend. Now, my friend is really insecure to the point that he can’t even do presentation because of his looks. I don’t get why people always want to put other people down, its sad
I have protruding ears, and I went to a private school so I had to tie my hair back and it really took toll on my self-confidence, despite never being bullied for them. I've wanted an otoplasty for years and years, so the people who are commenting that ears don't matter, they need to take into consideration that insecurities can come from any feature, even if its not in the middle of your actual face.
Same!! Then my best friends noticed and while their hearts were in the right place... They pointed them out and i just feel so bad about them. I hate making braids, buns or ponytails now. At least half my hair need to be down. Or i need curried curtain bangs to hide those mug handle ears 💀
OML. We have the same experience. Never been bullied extremely, but I got a few comments "why are your ears like that". But then I surely got compliments bec I always hid it behind. Was into Otoplastly bc of this but I haven't since my parents does not know.
@@tshepangmoeketsi8621 I have big ears. When an adult I grew my hair long to hopefully cover them, they only stuck out through my hair. So I cut my hair really short again and just accepted it.
Do your ears hang low? Do they wobble to and fro? Can you tie 'em in a knot? Can you tie 'em in a bow? Can you throw 'em o'er your shoulder Like a continental soldier Do your ears hang low?
You know, my dad used to sing that to me when I was a kid. Wasn't till I was 32 or so that I realized the continental soldiers were probably not saying ears.
@@_JKJR I don't put my hair up much either, haven't in public since 2017, but it's not something I necessarily want to get surgically corrected. I'm slowly learning to like them on myself cause I like them on others
I hate my ears and I’m so insecure about them 😔 I do a sport where I have to put my hair up so I always tie it and then take my ears and tuck them under my helmet and then after I take my helmet off I pull hair down over my ears 🙁 (I’m a girl) it’s really embarrassing and I wish that my ears were a little bit small and flat 🙁
@@kennanyoung6761 I can relate, just know you aren't alone in this little insecurity! Something that sometimes comforts me is knowing that the most important people in your life won't care and if they do then they aren't the right people! If you "own" them someone will eventually come along and love them no matter what.
@@madison9812 me too. in 2nd grade is when i started getting bullied and i still wore my hair up but i stopped in 5th grade. im now in 8th about to go to highschool and i haven’t put my hair up in years. i do a lot of theatre and sports and i get so self conscious thinking about having to put my hair up. i tie my hair in a low pony over my ears for soccer but i refuse to put my hair up for theatre. in highschool i know im going to have to and im so scared. i hate my ears so much and it’s worse when my friends comment bad things too. and this video is just making me feel worse calling me a deformed person or animal :(
Every single video of these series has a hilarious and original comment that goes something like "oMg ScIeNcE cAn eXpLaIn wHy I'm uGlY?!?!" and that's beyond me
I am seriously gonna go to japan when i grow up cuz i kinda fit into their beauty standards ig, i have protuding ears, yaeba, v shaped jaw and also am pale as a Ghost and i also love Japanese culture so yeah..
I never understood why kids make fun of big/prominent ears so much. I find them so cute. I personally find really flat ears kind of weird looking lol. Great video btw
I also find those things like big ears to be part of being a kid. Kids with bigger ears etc, makes them genuine and they grow out of it most of the time or adjust. But a kid with big ears or teeth, it's def normal and very common and I don't understand what's abnormal about it's it defines a kid in all sorts of ways to have quirky features.
they look cute on kids not adults mainly because i mean serious handsome face with goofy monkey ears- monkey BBUT cute bubbly face with monkey ears - cute
I absolutely love big prominent ears! It's one thing that makes someone instantly attractive to me. When I worked at chick-fil-a I told a customer I liked his ears and he looked genuinely shocked. He told me how he used to get bullied about it all the time but I purposely style my hair to push my ears out more
Green Giant Nope.. i’m not even attracted to men but I can tell attractive men bc I’m not blind. 😂 Obama is not rich but I get what u mean and I agree, sometimes things and circumstances make average people super attractive but in Obama’s case is definitely not money.. He’s pro women’s right, LGBTQ+ rights, black people rights (of course lol), he’s intelligent and have a good behavior. Obama appeal might be the things he believes and defends.
I feel so attacked rn 😭😂 honestly while I’m self conscious about my ears (I only wear my hair down) I don’t think overall its had a negative impact on my life. I was never seriously bullied because of them and I now make jokes about my ears with my friends, a lot of them telling me they like them anyways. Also, I can wriggle them! Goes to show if your differences are accepted by your peers you won’t think there’s much wrong with them
I would get teased by my family alot because of my features mainly my big ears and nose. But it never really bothered me as much because I thought my large features made me look almost cartoon like:") But I ended up growing into my features. Atleast I think so!
Wow, I actually like faces with prominent ears more, and it stems from being subjected to a lot of anime characters who are drawn that way. I also never liked how my ears weren't visible enough when I looked at my face in the mirror and how they were small. Guess there's no being happy with anything that concerns beauty.
As someone with protruding ears, it always makes me sad that all the search results are about corrective surgery instead of, well, anything else. It also makes me sad to know that so many people are suffering because of it and I guess I 'lucked out' in that way: mine are definitely perpendicular to my face, but they're small so they don't look disproportionate. As a kid I really didn't like them, they felt like antennae to me, but they were easy to hide with my hair. If I didn't use my hair to hide them, lord knows how much meaner the kids in high school would have been to me... but now I'm thankful that I never had them 'corrected', I like looking like a bit of an elf or an alien 👽
To all the big-eared peeps who feel insecure, I personally think that big ears look cute and sometimes I wished that my ears looked like that! They're definitely not ugly and I can't even begin to understand why someone would think so.
i think having big ears was the reason that i had a low self esteem all my life, i came from a religious family and my dad hated long hair so there was no way i could cover my big ears, so i had been the subject of alot of cruel jokes and i think that shi* that i been thro made me realize that people will really judge you by your appearance, but worthy people will judge you by the way you response to these ignorance. the way you look really doesn't matter at all, try to embrace your uniqueness and keep in mind that the only way to prosper is by trying to become the smartest one in the room not the most good looking one.. PS i just cut off my beautiful curly hair which was 2 years long because i think am matured enough to know that beauty is really from the inside.
Elo M I like girls who are very pretty and then their ears make them look like an fantasy creature, it’s even more attractive. This only works if your facial structure and features are always in such good harmony.
I always found large/prominent ears to be rather cute and endearing. Sorry there are so many comments of people insecure about their ear size. Y'all are super cute.
I HATE people telling you that it's a deformity or that you need to get surgery, it's sooooo dumb! I always liked my ears (they are big and very protruding) and it always makes me so sad that there's so much negativity towards it/that there's very low positive enforcement. It's really not a big deal and there are so many easy ways to find looks that kind of hide it. also it's a real beautyful fashion like statement I think and I love wearing big earrings to show them off! Protruding-ears-gang we need to get more confidence, fuck what they say and end this bullshit stigma, y'all ears look fucking dope!!!
The degree of deformity varies..i have cup ears..which is so much bent in front that i have trouble wearing mask and spectacles and it always paining..if someone just touch my ear
I'm not too sure how it's like in other countries, but in Singapore, I always hear my colleagues (preschool teachers) cooing over babies and children with prominent ears or big ears. It's a sign of prosperity and wealth. And for someone with prominent ears, I take pride in that as well 😂😂
What you mentioned about kids is true. As a kid, I had a small head and huge ears that were odd shaped (didn’t protrude out) and I got made fun of a lot for it. They have no filter and say what’s on their minds.
delfiq If that’s you on the picture, you look good! Try to see your face as a whole. You seem no older than 25. So maybe if you start to mew you might help develop your face a bit more.
@@xSunnyDaysx If someone already has a prominent chin/jaw area, won't mewing just make it worse? I have a kinda strong chin for a woman and I've been wondering about this for a while...
I have strangely small ears and I used to brag at the playground when I was little that my ears fit inside a Snapple cap and then I'd put Snapple caps on my ears. I don't know why but other 1st graders thought this was really cool.
I have very small ears and I got shit for that too , people really can't let other ppl live in peace without pointing out a "flaw" . It doesn't matter if you've got dumbo ears or extremely small ears , don't let other people's opinions shape your perception on what's attractive, they don't know what they're talking about , as long as you're healthy and able that's really all that matters . You wear your own skin , people don't have the ability to change it , do you .
i'm adopted and my parents had me undergo surgery to pin back my protruding ears when i was seven, and i kind of wish they hadn't since it would've balanced out my wider face structure :/ sooo generally it's better to wait until your child is an adult before you put them under the knife. also i still ended up with anxiety and depression lmao
I also doesn't understand how you can do cosmetic surgery on children. in my country your bone should befully developed before attempting surgery be it for cosmetic or medical purposes.
This videos very interesting, i never thought about how much something small like ears would influence character of children so much. I even remember one of my grade school classmates for his ears. Not in a bad way but they were definitely something i noticed as a younger person compared to now
I'm surprised, protruding ears seems to have more deleterious health outcomes linked to them than even jaw deformities. I guess that's why it illicits such a negative response
I have protuding ears and I think it's because of my incomplete antihelix! It's so nice to understand the reason behind it, thank you. At school some kids called me "Dumbo" but that never really bothered me. I don't think a child has to go through surgery to change that, what has to change is the culture of bullying and oppresion that kids learn in society. And some people find my ears cute, so... =D
Whether prominent ears make or break a face depends on their shape and how they fit in with the rest of the face. It looks lovely on some people and uncanny on others.
Lucas (a chinese singer and model, who’s also a kpop idol) has protruded ears but some how still looks very good with them?? maybe it’s because he’s VERY handsome overall but i feel like normal ears would actually look worse on him.
As a person with ears that stick out, when he told of the trauma we endure during childhood and then goes ahead himself and tears us down further?...This was not helpful at all. For any one in my boat, please take to heart what my dad told me as a teenager. 'Dont get surgery until you can confidently pull your hair back, walk down the street and look people in the eyes with a smile. And at that point, I hope you know you dont need it afterall.' We all had a say what we would look like when we came into this world: 0% Beauty should come from within and is the part of us that needs correction if straying outside of anything other than kindness and love❤
Ok, I am also a happy owner of bat ears, and I should say that my family used to trying hide or "fix" my ears expecting negative reaction to my appearance from my peers at primary school. BUT instead kids were just calling me an elf or lil alien (huh my name is Alina though, but in russian the pun is lost ), and in teenage years model scout said that my ears make my beauty unique and favourable in model industry (unfortunately my height a bit lower then they required). So I really appreciate my "fleshy sound collecting bowls" :p
02:08 wow the girl on the upper right pictures looks so much better with her protruding ears. She looks like a model. And the guy in the upper left side also looks better with the protruding ears.
So weird I thought the same, even with her eyes blocked out its obvious she's very pretty. Although I think she looks better after, she has a perfect hairline too😭
Personally i think the best ear angle is slightly protuding ears, elves like with side ears visible. Then comes mid protuding, flat ears and full protuding.
I feel like no one cares what your ears look like. They are the kinda thing people will notice but have no opinion on until they get to know you and then fall in love with protruding ears 😍😍😍
ok so my ears are normal size but they stick out and ive been insecure about them for many years. i never noticed my ears until someone made a joke about it and it really hurt my confidence in myself. a lot of people say that it doesnt matter but it really does damage your self confidence when people laugh and joke about it, even if they arent trying to be mean.
could you do a video on accessories like rings, earrings, necklaces and piercings and how they affect one's aesthetic? I think that would be a cool video!
I might get ear - pinning surgery, I’ve never really gotten bullied for it besides one of my friends who always makes fun of them and calls me “monkey” but other than that, it’s only been mentioned a few times. I’ve always been uncomfortable with my ears anyway, I hate putting my hair up in anyway. The worst is when one of my ears pokes out of my hair. 😭
It's all about the personality and how you carry yourself, I got big protruding ears too and I consider them to be my best feature..I don't know why this video got recommend to me btw. 😄
Me, my German dad and his dad all have the same big ears with one bent helix. Actually my dog is missing the top of his ear so the other is bent too. We are all cute haha
Not a hate video but can you do unconventionally beauty/odd looking faces of celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, Christina Ricci and Adam Driver please? Btw I waited for this new video and your content is very informative 💕
I had this surgery at age 10. Before that I couldn't use my hair up, and would always wear a bandana to hide my big ears. I was made so much fun back then that it made me hate a part of me I had never even paid attention before.
Hey, I think a plumpier face makes it more beautiful/attractive. Look at Justin Bieber now he's skinny and doesn't look so good whereas before he looked so attractive before lyme disease hit him.
When I was in primary school a genius girl who was in my class had protruding ears so I never asociated this feature with stupidity. She wasn't ashame of her ears at all
I mean yeah ur talking about urself and that's ok, but when come to society, it's not what that thinks. They associate big stick out ears with weirdness and dumb and unattractiveness and all the negative features that make force u to become inscure about ur protruding ears😞
I had protruding ears when I was younger, it was suggested for me to get them pinned back, but now less so because I think I've grown into them and I don't even notice them. They aren't massively protruding and only do so at the tip. I refer to them as my elf ears.
There is this superstition in the Philippines where when you have big, protruding ears, you'll live longer whereas those who have normal/small ears (which i have), will live shorter lol
