@@Vlaffffy yeah, and then she had to be carried all the way to the Halightree unconcious by Finlay after she nuked an entire region just to damage Lord Radhan
@@VlaffffyRight, people are always shit talking Malenia but are also conveniently leaving out the fact that Malenia fought Radahn blind and with prosthetics.
Agreed. Give us Radahn and Radahn alone! Maybe Miquella could've stood at the gate of divinity, doing some ritual and perhaps maybe cast some spells at us, but still have the fight mostly as us versus Radahn
Starscourge was a funeral. Promised Consort is a war chant. I can imagine the Redmanes going to war with this. Armies clad in red coat of arms, united under ONE General. The Mightiest demigod of all. A war god. Holy sh*t this track goes so hard. Phase 2 is amazing too but phase one is just oof.
@@gudboah4688 before, the game's lore felt really authentic and cool like wars and great battles between gods, now it feels like a weird incest and drama fest. Plus they pulled the whole MiquellaxRadahn thing out of thin air, there was absolutley no leadup or indication in the base game. Its just silly. They had so much opportunity, maybe to go more into detail about Malenia and Miquella's relationship. Or maybe learn more about the challenges and suffering he faced with his curse. Anything. Yet they chose more incest. Plus they ruined arguably one of the best characters, Radahn.
@@riz621 yes, but she could have said anything. They just saw that as an opportunity to make something up. That small bit of whispering is not nearly enough to hint at an entire relationship between Miquella and Radahn.
I personally dont get why people say that the 2nd phase is where the Good's at Perhaps its because the 1st one is relatively short in-game But i take this pumping and epic chorus over anything else! More fitting given who Radahn is
Starscourge theme is his men singing in his funeral while in battle. Final boss theme is all his men singing about his returned glory with slight bit of tragedy mixed in.
true the phase 1 is more fitting of who radahn himself is and i think phase 2 is really focused on miquella since well there he takes the scene, and you can every now and then hear radahns theme popping out.
@@josephbulkin9222 damn eh, ok i guess? Its not even accurate comparison cause that dude was more of a politician than a general and got killed by a black fart And Radahn had both claims to the Golden Order and the Carian Family, both opposite beliefs/destinies, whoever he choosed to follow was going to betray the other But yeah, do you do or wathever
@@gabrielsmith9393 Here's the thing, Freja was a Redmane and fought against us when she found out that Radahn was being resurrected. The same thing could have happened with Jerren.
@@NobleGamer0117 I think the implication was that Freyja had been converted more to follow Miquella than Radahn, considering Miquella saved her life and she'd been under his thrall for lord knows how long.
I feel like there isn't enough people talking about how this is extremely similar to his phase 2 from base game, its like your fight is finally now continuing
@@AbelMusa Well no one would have cared if it was based on his phase 1 theme in base game, my point is that its his phase 2 theme which is what we last heard while fighting him
I like thatt they brought his theme but instead of the somber funeral theme to it , this one is all glory and terror. Glory to see radahn restore to some spec of his former glory and terror to witness such a monster with you as its.target
Yet lorewise, DLC bosses shouldn't be any stronger than maingame bosses, with Marika/Elden Beast being the strongest. But after all, we know Unalloyed Malenia beats them all up 😂
The orchestra starting up as he pulled his swords from the ground, similar in fashion to Malenia, he was awaiting our preparation unto the field, where he began his onslaught of attacks. Truly a foe to respect and honor as we save him from his unruly consortment.
"General Radahn, a pleasurre to see you... after all this time. but those remains does not belong to you! Lord Mohg will have his pleasurre..." -Sir Ansbach
I love this fight so much, it definitely feels final boss material; the music, the spetical, the bravado and the GamePlay. Has tiny blemishes but once you learn it you come to respect it. It has similar properties to Slave Knight Gael in the sence that Gael is suppose to be the final test if your DS3 abilities and is a test of you mastering what DS3 is all about which is timing your rolls. Consort Radahn is the same except is a test of what Elden Ring is all about: Dodge rolling, strafing and directional movement. Once you master those this boss does give you true final boss vibes like Gael. The follow up light attacks in phase 2 are the same as Gaels follow up red cape swipe where is the same as the last phase but now you have even less room for error. I strongly believe that Radahn as the final big bad in Elden Ring only makes sense and i love it. I love this boss.
@@namethis658 well you'd be right, it is a Miquella boss fight using Radahn as a tool. Its smart actually because they kill two birds with one stone. You get fan service and a unique Miquella boss
Radahn even has big attacks, I think only when he attacks with both swords at once, where blocking the attack will send you flying. This matters because those are all attacks that give you big windows to get hits in, so getting knocked so far back is a big disadvantage and thus you need to learn to not block those attacks. Radahn is really a test of every mechanic in the game, though you may not encounter all of them depending on your playstyle.
My Lord... it was an honour to defeat you. EDIT: Dunno why it's taken me this long to notice this is a reprise of his second phase Starscourge theme, just a lot less corrupted with the rot.
Not sure if everyone knows but those swords being held one handed in each hand is a feat of strength I think no one in real life would meet…..would be happy to be proven wrong haha
@-_-ligma Funny you should say that, I found out that info not from shorts, but through reading the item descriptions. Cleanrot Knight Finlay's Sprirt Ashes item description confirms that she carried Malenia back to the Haligtree.
2:07 Holy shit this right here gives me actual chills dude❤ this right here is what i would call a true final boss dude. Fucking phenomenal. I don't care if people hate this boss. This is the most amazing boss fight in the entire game. Lore-wise/Gameplay-Wise. Yes phase 2 is... Or rather was ridiculously difficult. After the nerf they definitely made him way easier. But by no means is he a push over. He is still extremely difficult. And i like that! The Mightiest Demi-God of them All as the final boss of such an amazing game. What more can i ask for? Yes i am a Redahn lover. Easily my favorite character in the entire game. But gotta say though, Starscourge Radahn is still my favorite boss in the entire game. Because of the emotion/goal it has. We are all fighting to free our general from his eternal misery❤ and we shall all perish together should that be what frees our mighty General Radahn
i know some Latin words, for example sanguine venator sanctum. this song speaks Latin because i heard the word sanguine the Latin word for blood at least i think
Phase 1 Promised Consort is just a Rejuvenated Phase 2 Starscourge. Its Radahn at his Best. But Phase 2 Promise Consort is just Miquella overpowering Radahns Ost that its unrecognizable now.
Not at all On what i understanded in the First phase he was him he was still alive and thinking Is in the second phase miquella took over of him and he became a puppet
