With the way these expanded almost as soon as it went through the cloth, and spiraled, these would be great for defense. Spicey, spiral, stuff right there!

Another excellent test Tools ! After watching you for a couple years its clear thay 9 mil with good ammo like this cor bon is all i need for self defense ! Also my wife can handle 9 mil way better than some of the hotter rounds if she is put in a position to defend herself if im not around . Thanks for your hard work brother !

Great test, Brian! I'm surprised by the penetration, which was perfectly adequate! Do you know if the bullet is a Barnes or is it something that CorBon came up with? It is seldom you see an expanding bullet that both opens wide and penetrates like it should. I would carry these, them seem to be pretty darn good! I don't think it's likely I'll be switching from my usual carry ammo but these certainly inspire confidence! Cheers, jc

I am starting to warm up to the idea of these copper expanders. But I am guessing they are not quite as available as what I typically carry, which my preferred is the Sig V Crown Elite Defenders in 124gr +p, but I also will pick up Federal HST 124gr +p if they are not available, but both have been readily available. It is funny you mention the G29, I have recently stepped down to the FN Reflex over my XDmE in 10mm. I do still carry the XDmE, but for quick trips here and there, were the risk is low, that Reflex is a lot more comfortable to carry. Not to mention I have lost so much weight, that to carry the 10mm I have had to resort to wearing suspenders. I got the old "Hank Hill" dad bod going here for sure.🤦‍♂

@Tools&Target You know they make a 95gr DPX as well that I believe is about 25 fps faster than the 115gr. It would be cool to see a test between the 2 or even against the Powerball 100gr if you have any left over from previous testing. Great vids as always 🤙🏻

I have an Alien Gear Shapeshifter for my G29. It's comfortable and I can wear it all day, driving, sitting or walking. Hardly know it's there! Most guys I know have half a dozen or more holsters trying to find a good one. I have only purchased one! Highly recommend it! Cheers, jc

T&T - great channel and info. Kind of reminds me of TNoutdoors9 (showing my age), but with your own style. I would like to see a "best of" for each caliber. This would be your recommendations for self defense ranked from best to worst. With your video history you could rank the top 20 of each caliber for us mere humans that can then buy the best performers available in our locations. Always looking forward to the next vid.

Very strange those look like the old style Barnes Bullets. The box shows that three pedal picture and that’s the same box I have. I don’t have the scientific set up, but I shot into water jugs and mine are indeed the three pedal bullet that are pictured on the box
