Great videos you make buddy! My crawlspace encapsulation company and team were pretty good guys BUT when came time to do the condensate pump, they instead chose to dig a 2 foot+ deep hole in the soil under the membranes (a double membrane) and then put condensate tube through a slit in the membranes, into the hole so water from the dehumidifier would drain into the hole dug under the membrane, sealing around it and then placed a water sensing alarm by the tube on top of the membrane where it went through and under the membrane. I wish I could post a pic. I was like "what? Really?" Then the foreman said this method was actually "better" than the condensate pump, they usually charge more for it but if I really wanted the condensate pump (they didn't have one with them that day, obviously) they would return to install the condensate pump. I let it go, taking his word for it. 5 years later the space is dry, the dehumidifier doesn't run very often. Never any moisture near the tube. Never has the alarm peeped. But, the battery needs changing periodically. Either way, I still would rather have the pump. I want to see the water coming out. See if there is suddenly more water over previous years could help diagnose other issues such as a dripping pipe. This was "Dr. Energy Saver" here in Eastern PA and their work would likely pass your inspection. I rekon they are one of the first companies in the USA doing encapsulation the right way, although the $10k felt steep I'm glad it was done.

Thank you for sharing. A lot of companies will drain the dehumidifier under the vapor barrier in extremely cold climates to help prevent freezing of the condensation.

Ed, AprilAire recommends that the air filters should typically be replaced every 6 to 12 months, saving you time and money compared to traditional 1-inch filters, which need to be replaced every 1 to 3 months.

Brandon, we might offer those services down the road, but for right now we want to focus solely on crawl spaces.

So does most humidity come from the ground? Or my windows and doors?

Laura, a lot of humidity/moisture can come from the ground if there is a lot of water in it. The water will then evaporate from the ground and mix with the crawl space air. Crawl space vents can also pull in moisture to your crawl space. Other culprits could include faulty plumbing or your yard sloping toward your house. We hope this answers your question.
