I’m hooked to your channel !!! I just became a PM for an apartment of 40 units on site 🥰. I’m 22yrs old , so I feel like it’s such an advantage for my young age. I’ve been training for 2 weeks now and hopefully will start to get the hang soon.

I'm also a PM and I can relate to everything you've said! I'm a first time mother and also live in the building I manage. I feel alone sometimes because I get overwhelmed and miss talking to someone about the **** that happens lol. We need a support group 😂

I plan to do property management . Goal is to get my associates in business administration . Do some internship before I graduate college for property management . After that get my property management license .

This iss definitely great content. I would be scared to talk about my residents online, but I understand your reasoning. I just recieved my first on-site position and I also run a property management business here in So-Cal. This business has a lot of great benefits, I love every aspect of real estate, especially property management. Literally saved my life.

Thank you for this. I am dealing with an aggressive, dismissive property manager who is pelting me with lease violations every time I try to discuss a harrassment issue. In an attempt her unwarranted behavior i decided to get more insight into her job. So thanks,this does help.

Different market, I live in Milwaukee, WI BUT same stuff! I’ve been doing this ten years and it is not always easy. We get the garbage in the halls, cat litter or garbage spilled, vomit (not often). People texting all hours, etc. Thanks for letting me know we all have the same issues. But I also work a full time job in customer service for another industry and I think that helps me handle the crazy stuff. Thanks for your video! Our company does not have the OSHA requirements etc., have to look into that for WI. We have great retention so I think my boyfriend and I are doing okay!

I'm a realtor who just got a job as a PM. Fun but challenging. My biggest piece of advice is to go directly into schooling. Research if the real estate board in your state offers something like a Residential Property Manager certification. In Texas, mine does. Sign up for it and take the test as soon as possible. Also go to your states apartment association and ask them when they're holding their next Certified Apartment Manager course. Once you pass both tests, you'll be educationally qualified. Now, the challenge will be to gain experience and get a property to give you a chance. Turn over rate is high in this industry, so it's likely that someone will hire you, even if you don't have 10yrs of experience.

Hello! I came into PM with 0 PM experience just a solid customer service background. I started in 2018. It's going great. I'm actually getting ready to start studying to get my RE license. Both skills pair together well. Thanks for watching and good luck!
