I can't make up my mind so I think i'm going to build the pool with a footer for the cage so i have flexibility to add later or the next owner to do so. Great vid. I also dont like the shade stripes, but critter and bug management is hard to ignore 😅
Con: Carpenter bees. I rescreened my patio 2 years ago. The very next day after installation, there were about 12 holes bored through by the bees that had nested in the wood around the upper deck frame. So, that's another reason to cut down any unnecessary trees and branches nearby. Pro: I did not hear you mention falling leaves. My above ground pool was a mess with all the fallen leaves. Needless to say, I no longer have the above-ground pool, nor the screened in patio. 🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀
Only other con is if you like the great outdoors view with no restrictions. I’m debating hard because I love the look of my space but don’t desire the bugs
So for the house in that video, what would it cost in 2024 to add that screen system. Not asking exact price, but a ballpark would put it into context. Say, 1, 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 dollars? This s the only fair way that I can compare two houses with pools, one with, and one without.
Great question--I think you're looking in the thousands to ten thousand--will really depend on the company, and specifics of the home. Let me know if you need some recommendations for a quote.
