You should try using the "movie" mode for animation. While it´s basically the same, the promise of revisiting your own work two more times and thus having more frames in total might give some very interesting outcomes. On the other hand it also increases round times because everyone can draw for as long as they want and there´s more turns in total, so maybe it´s more of a thing for a group that has a lot of time ;)

The whole plot of animorphs revolved around Aliens, and war crimes, and child soldiers, but mostly aliens

You know, everyone else’s were good and all, but there is little doubt in my mind that Ross just gooping into a snail was the best.

You should do this again, but the morph takes half the time and the other half goes to trying to restore the animal to the person you think it originally was. So you'd end up with stuff like Ross turning into a crab turning into Giwi.

Y'all remember the dude in Animorphs who stayed transformed too long and became a bird permanently? And then the alien dude gave him his transforming ability back, which let him turn temporarily back into a human, but he always went back to being a bird at the end? That shit was wild.

It's funny how some of these are accurate to the books in terms of abruptness. Morphing is often described as a mildly gradual process with stuff just suddenly bursting out at random sometimes.

Ross and friends incidentally invent fursonas. Maybe try this theme again with motion and theme, like how about do this again but with Transformers. :D Transform into vehicles, and then robots.

As someone who's read the books, I can answer the question 2:41. When the narrators would describe transforming, they would mention that their bones contort, snap, shift around, etc., it was described as being uncomfortable, but not painful (I'm surprised that I even remember that though, since I read the books in 4th and 5th grade)

It's pretty on-brand for Animorphs because they could also turn into centaur aliens

Everyone is talking about that one time in the books where someone got torn up as a starfish, but what about that time they were all flies and one of them got smacked by a rolled up newspaper and his friends all have to pick up all his insides and limbs and carry them(as flies) to the onboard bathroom so he can turn back into a human before he died.

While on the subject, another fun idea that i had for gartic phone is making up fake pokemon and then the next person has to decide what it evolves into

IDEA FOR ROSS: draw something but it slowly zooms out to reveal a bigger story

Fun fact, all the animorph covers were hand painted! Those horrifying images were not the work or Photoshop, but a real human painting a child transforming into an animal.

watching animation happen frame by frame (with low framerate as well) is really interesting to see, these are cool!

Now it needs to be reversed, draw the animal you would want to turn into and see if it morphs into your OC.

my favorite part is 15:55 because of how the top of the head gets longer and then snaps back into place when the ears pop out, it makes it look like its really popping out

I started just doing similar prompts while watching you guys, and somehow this really increased my creativity! Nothing was stiff either, really flowy and dope animation! Thanks for the entertainment + help :)

Heck yes I saw this and rushed. Flipping through the animorphs books was always my favourite part (especially the first book and the Megamorphs Chronicles) they are so cleverly done and adds this sort of extra accomplishment to finishing the book every time

So happy he used that idea, it turned out amazing.

I think it would be really interesting, after hearing how some of the changes were unexpected or different than wanted, if y'all did this challenge in movie mode, so you could decide what you wanted to be, giving a title like, as an example, 'Ross->snail' so that everyone would be on the same page, and you could even get a chance to draw one for your own and see how progress is coming along! This was super fun to watch and Im glad you're all having so much fun! :D
