Excellent opening statement by Rob Wood. Concise, detailed, impactful. Unlike the rambling, misogynistic, condescending, interrupting nonsense coming from John Prior. He had three years to nail it, and he didn't even come close.

These murders were calculated. Lori called her children, Zombies, and everybody else that went against her. I whole-heartedly feel Lori should have gotten DP, as Chad is facing now. She has no remorse, whereas Chad is showing fear.

Interesting opening, noticed the nods towards Lori’s. In my opinion it’s a bit less emotional / impactful, but that may be simply because Chad is not the children’s mother. I want to believe this trial should be a slam dunk, but I’ll be nervous until the verdict is officially in… please go smoothly.

I could not believe how awful Prior's Opening was. He fumbled his words, seemed to just be making things up on the fly, talked about completely irrelevant matters for about half the time, and rambled pointlessly. THAT is all he could come up with after all this time. It was so clear he didn't even pratice.

You know Chad will throw Lori under the bus along with Alex Cox. Yet, even after all that's happened, no one says anything about the lust that Lori and Chad had toward each other. These two left a trail of dead bodies because they wanted to have sex. All their murderous deaths they inflicted because they lusted after each other to have sex. Nothing is more heinous!

Zoom leaves a lot to be desired, but remember the jury is there and they are using 🎤. I think Idaho needs to budget for audio and video technology in its courthouses.

The people in court can hear what he is saying. You are hearing the sound as it was on zoom. As far as being more assertive. He is experienced and has done this many times. He knows what he is doing.

I just don’t think he’s the right sort of attorney for a trial of this magnitude. Simply not dramatic enough, nor does he garner enough emotion from anyone. I’m disappointed.

@@joycemeadows1821 The state prosecutors in this case for Chad Daybell are the exact same ones that were for Lori Vallow Daybells case. Only Chad's attorney is different from Lori's case.

I'm never bored with Rob Wood. Jmo though. He is smart, experienced, knows his stuff. And yep they said before it even started it would be a long trial.
