I agree for whatever reason when I'm in the middle of a funk I can't be bothered with my hair but it helps to put my hair away and clean or bake I learned how to make peanut butter cookies from scratch last week

I can cornrow, it's just that my hair gets tangled and caught in my fingers, even after detangling. I may need to do it on dried, stretched hair.

Same, my fine hair gets tangled easily but I comb out the tangles with my fingers as I go. But stretching would definitely help!

@@cockyretrospect4085 My hair is not as long as your (mid-back length), but I think I lost more hair trying to cornrow than just putting it in two braids, LOL. The tangles are crazy.

I’d definitely go to that event. I’m moving back to buffalo after this pandemic settles down and I’ll definitely come even if it’s in nyc. Also you could get a few mannequin braiding heads for People to practice on.

I am literally blown away at the idea of using the crochet needle to "pin" your hair. My mind is literally blown. I, too, hate feeling the bobby pins in my hair but always thought that was the only way! I am definitely going to try this. Thank you!!

I loved both looks! I wish my hair complied as easily as yours. No matter how much I detangle, within mins my hair has wrapped around itself lol it's like the scene from The Color Purple when Mister was trying to get Cecily and Nettie apart 😂

Exactly speak Sis this is the way to do it. NO we won't go losing our minds, and chopping it off. Still when you really do have them inches, and its way thick there will be times when you're simply OVER IT!!! Well this is when protective styling should be your go to. I love to play around with colors, and cute, sassy, fun short styles. Yet that's when its time to utilize your wigs. Not grab the shears, go all in and begin choppin. Just finished it and had to come back to add YYYAAASSS that braid and chill session...brilliant. Great idea as one that can't braid to save my life its true that this is something we should know how to do. Thank goodness for great beautician's of course. Still being able to do it on your own, whenever you would like to, obviously can't be beat.

Protective style or cut it off, it's all good. I've def made impromptu decisions with my hair and thats fine too. And happy to hear you liked the idea! I do have to mention it wouldn't be any time soon, I don't even have the funds for anything like that lol but it was just a daydream I thought I'd run by ya'll ❤️ And yes! Shout out to the beauticians and also a good DIY lol

@@cockyretrospect4085 All in for continuous trims, otherwise its Team no Shears over here. Being a 4c chic with thigh length hair that's quite thick. I'm more than aware of my crowns TRUE significance. Plus mine grows much to quickly for that to ever be of benefit. Dare to dream, and one day you'll pull it off. Its a great idea, and sounds like fun. I'm sure before you know it it'll be time to getter done. Mos Def great beautician's are just as important as an amazing CPA. After all nothing beats the delight of Spa Day 🧖🏾‍♀️

Me watching this ... have 2b and 3b hair mixed.. can't even flat twist to save my life.... my hair will get so tangled when I try to cornrow lol 😆 ... then it comes out with bumps lol 😆 ..... beautiful hair and great video 📹 😍 🙌

I wish I could braid my hair. the longer it got, the harder it became. I can't even flat twist anymore without freaking out. I am really looking to learn how to do more, safer protective styles. (I'm on the East Coast, not far from the city. 😃

That style is cute ❤ I can braid (we say plait here) but when somebody or I braid, there's a lot of tension on my scalp even when it's loose and I end up with a headache and a runny nose😓

Cornrowing my hair while it's wet is a no-no for me. Once it dries, it shrinks up, even in cornrows. And when I take it down, it's mad tangled! I used to wear my hair like this and just accept the tangles. Now I know that it's not worth it.
