Welcome to the first episode of the Moc Workshop! In this episode of the Moc Workshop, we'll be 3D Printing and Painting a custom Bionicle Piece. This piece is a prototype version of the Kanohi Ignika, the Mask of Life, which appeared in the video game Bionicle Heroes. I hope you enjoy seeing my process as I make this Mask a reality!

i’m seriously considering getting into resin printing, the idea of getting custom parts without paying 10+ dollars each time PLUS shipping is a dream

For sure! I’d definitely recommend it! The only real downside of resin is just the toxicity of the stuff. You don’t want to breathe in the fumes or get it on your skin, and the disposal process for excess resin is somewhat convoluted. It’s nothing that can’t be dealt with though, and the level of detail is really great for Bionicle specifically!

Usually, yeah. I typically like to avoid painting those kinds of parts if possible, but if I do need to use paint I’ll try to cover the connection points to prevent that from happening
