I’m only 15 minutes into this video, but I have gained so much value. I feel so motivated to put energy into my agency again, to do the work, to gain and secure those clients. Thank you so much for this video guys, I can’t wait to make it one day 🙏🙏
Chris Do is really good cause he helps drill down information to what it takes , emotionally, mentally & practically for an entrepreneur who is used to asking 1,000$ to ask 15,000$ for the same job. As a creative, the struggle has never been the creative work … but everything else. Belief, values, positioning, … these things can make or break you and they are usually hard to change if you’re not aware of it. Chris brings that awareness … cause he has a worldwide audience of creatives that are truly genuine when talking to him, so he understands us well. That’s how I feel when he’s asking Daniel to help JON DOE.
What I like about Chris's podcast is that he always asks questions from the perspective of an average person in the field. For example, in the podcast with Collins, the guy is talking about chateaus and things you only see on TV, discussing everything from a lofty perspective, it makes sense to have that type of conversation with Chris, but Chris is our representer in front of those guests. Chris Do'es it better.
@thefutur it builds trust. I also used your suggestion to ask for a review at the "hype" of what we are doing, when the client is fully happy. So, thank you!
I listen to a lot of different people, and I just want to say that Chris is such a good listener, talker, and a real person. Your honesty and generosity speak volumes. Many thanks
OMG this is so good. I found myself saying “Amen” through out this interview as if I’m in church and the pastor has shared a revelation. 😂 This is really good stuff. Thanks again thefutur and Chris Do. You guys are a God send. ❤
I work at a place where people are constantly complaining about the shoestring budgets they have to work with, yet the proposals they write are just shopping lists of things they're going to do for a client, nothing about value creation, solving problems, leaving the client better off, nothing, and they wonder why clients are screwing them down on price all the time and will only pay bottom dollar. "You are what you pitch, and you're always pitching". Amen.
Man this was sooo insightful. I can barely sit down for that long to watch a movie but I was captivated the whole time furiously taking notes. Please let Daniel Priestly on the show as much as possible 😅
I love this video. Issues discussed are highly strategic and life changing. Billion dollar idea strategies to finance your business through self confidence. Reverse pitching engineering.
This is a gift!!!!!!! 2 of my top five nonnegotiable teachers, I follow!!! 😮 Thank you both for your generosity and sharing what you know to those of us that are just coming up But coming up indeed God bless you
A MASSIVE THANK YOU - Daniel for this ~2 hours that is worth a hundred times more than everything I have paid others for since I started being an entrepreneur in $ and time to move the needle; and Chris for unpacking so succinctly and in a way that makes it relevant. I have been looking for this for a long time, directionally correct but now I found it and honed in. Now my GPS is set. THIS now is my blueprint that I will create my business with to elevate the vital life force I bring into the world. I will be part of your Dent, and implementing the gearshifts now. Daniel, Chris - thank you for your unbelievable generosity. I will shake your hand in person in 2025.
Great content once again. I love your critical questions towards your guest and us, the Well at it Chris. Thanks for sharing the knowladge, both of you.
Wow! Nearly 2 hours of so much valuable informations! Escpecially I like how Chris summarizes main insights, digs deeper and looks at them from the point of the target audience. This was very helpful, especially becasue I'm currently re-designing my website. Thank you very much Daniel and Chris. (Just one thing: The links in the descrption to the other intervies, which Chis announces in the beginnng, are missing. 20 Oct 2024)
As a filmmaker, I need to mitigate the perception of price that a documentary will cost $100K+ or can be made by my friend on an iPhone for $300. My projects are typically between $8k and $25k and won from cold outreach to a very niche market. Whether I have a waiting list or not, new clients don't know whether they can afford me from the outset before a call, a stage we may not get to. Would a price-bracketed page on the website help or should I put this in the 'expression of interest' form (or whatever I use)?
Hey! There's an echo, I would check the sensitivity on both mics first to not ruin sound quality if that doesn't do the trick a noise suppressor on both inputs will take care of that. Hope this helps!
Question for Daniel (that I hope he can answer): If your in a service business thats fully booked and you start a waiting list for higher end clients... what do you do with your current clients (that are paying less than these new potential high end clients)??
At 1:00:00 - yes Chris, that magic can happen! One Christmas Eve, we were all about to close down for the Christmas break. The phone rang and it would have been VERY easy to not even answer the call. We did pick up the phone, and it was that magic client begging for assistance because another company had let them down badly.
A little while ago I criticized your intro as not being tight enough, the transitions were weak, the music was too loud... This was the exact result I was hoping to help direct you towards. Not taking credit for your work, I'm just taking a moment to let you know I see the improvement. :)
another benefit with high end clients is that often times you’re only dealing with one person from the company, meanwhile the $1000 client has 7 people from marketing on the zoom call and they all have different ideas about the project.
Always so great to get insights with Chris and Gang, thank you sensei; I am someone who freelances on 3D projects from Bhutan; I don't have access to payment gateways and hence it becomes even harder to find clients; I wonder what would be the techniques in that case? Locally people are not looking to pay a fair price for the work I do and the time. It is also usually due to currency differences and rates they are more comfortable with.
@@magneticmarketingcoach neither, I created a hyperwallet account recently but I'm not sure where the login interface is; trying to figure out other ways
I dont think this has worked with enough smaller companies. As he said richer clients are easier and can believe the bs pitch about no time. Smaller clients are like why is this not done on Saturday evening. Everyone would love big retainers, pay all up front but you need to have that value. When you have that status he is pitching the client will bend for whatever.
In all these videos the things they talk about are always assuming you already have an established business. Never do they take into account new businesses who don't have many of the things they mention yet.
I understand, but I think it’s down to you and your perspective. Maybe gain some clients, build a portfolio and learn from your mistakes. I myself have a small start up (I’ve been on and off for 5 years) but I’ve collated a lot of experience. You got this 🎉
