I am 45 years old , I have 6 children and I am in the best shape I have ever been and I have been into fitness/bodybuilding my whole life (also an ex-CrossFit junkie) I have overtrained and under eight basically my entire adult life! Just like Sal I picked up my first flex magazine at the age of 14 join the gym and never look back however, in the last six months, you guys have totally transformed my whole fitness life, so thank you so much for that!
Love all of the information you share! Thank you, I've learned so much. I wish I knew 40 years ago everything I know now. I'm a 59yo grandma and after overcoming a lower back nerve issue that I had for 4 years, I'm back to training to become strong again!
Just starting my new life Journey & life style been listening to you guys for a little bit now you guys have great information hopefully I can snag a program from you. Love all the information.
Omigosh! What a blessing! I shared this episode with a young kid I mentor who just finished his last year of eligibility at the college level in football with Univ of CO Boulder under Coach Prime (Deion Sanders). This young man (Noah Young) knows that his journey to the NFL is not done with college, so he has continued his training toward NFL Pro Day (March 2024) with Landow Performance in Denver with a huge focus on speed. I know he will really benefit from this fascinating discussion. Thank you for bringing this guest on your show today. Awesome! God bless each of you for the value you bring. 🎉
Wow! Literally wow! Mind blowing doesn’t even cover it! I have to rewatch this ( probably several times) to absorb everything in here! Will this actually work if you have some serious limitations… like injuries and age (70) I’ll let you know!
Lots of great stuff, uncommon sense. I like the small dense muscle, I would rather have the bigger dense muscle, but does the big bulky fluffy muscle have the same metabolic effects as the big hypertrophy muscle? Would doing some ankle and knee flexion on a vibration plate increase stretchy springy muscle?
Hearing about these huge football players, bursts of speed, etc reminded me of a Peter Attia podcast I heard about Nate Chittick and I wonder how many of these guys were being tested that might have saved his life!
Ok. My mind was also blown. My son plays football and basketball and I think I gotta get a trap deadlift bar now. Train that posterior chain for speed and strength, eh? Great interview!!
Husker Power! Love the reference. So much knowledge on this episode. I'm working to get myself bigger and in better shape. Not just for my own health, but to help gain insight to be able help my young son who wants to play just about every sport he can.
"you guys are not gonna jump me are you?" had me rolling hahahahahah love how Brian explained why they do not use squats .. still squat guys.. we need them massive juicy glutes!
Wow! What a great show. I have been enjoying the people you guys have been interviewing. Learning so much from you all and your guests. Thanks so much. 🙏
The show was extremely educational and a great reminder on speed training value. I’m going to focus on speed on my weightlifting off days when training martial arts- especially the basic striking. Thanks!
I'm a father of two kids and one dog. I enjoy working out and playing four times a week. Despite not yet reaching my goal of losing 25 pounds, I find it to be the most challenging endeavor of my life. Appreciate your helpful tips, and I'm eager to incorporate them into my journey. Thanks for your valuable guidance.
Another great episode to add to my arsenal. Just spent my birthday working out, giving a free mobility class, and setting up a body fat testing booth which ended up in a few assessments. Some people said I was crazy spending my birthday that way but seeing how grateful people were as I was honest with them was more than enough of a present. Thanks for nudging me in this direction fellas! Also, gonna treat myself with prime and prime pro to help with my future assessments!
Listening at least semi-regularly for years and years now. This podcast is probably what pushed me over the edge to decide to become a trainer (part time for now). I'm enjoying it a ton so far, seeing clients get stronger. But I always love learning more. How could anyone not want to keep learning more of this stuff? The body is a crazy thing. Pumped for this episode because I'm not all that familiar with real-life, effective speed training yet, and I want to be able to coach average people but also more athletic populations who need results on the court/field.
"Trying to win the war of unhealthy". That's powerful! The only regret I have is not running into you guys at an earlier age. I find more motivation in the knowledge you guys speak, than the words a motivational speaker speaks. Thank you guys!! Your knowledge is bringing healthy!
I’ve been obsessed with the maps programs since I’ve found you guys and I’ve seen tremendous results. But after listening to this I’m thinking about moving into a more power/strength type of program. Thank you guys for all the content and for introducing us to all of these different schools of thought
I found you guys this last year and I have a 1 year old running around and you guys have got me back into working out and love some of the different stuff you guys talk about! Very entertaining! Thanks for what you guys do!
I recommend that my boss catches your show as she wanted to loose weight, by increasing her cardio and i told her to watch you guys before she makes up her mind . What a great show for her first. Thanks guys for another great show.
I am so glad I have found you guys 🙏🏻 I am taking your advice to heart and am working on getting my metabolism up by focusing on strength training! Thank you and am looking forward to your future podcasts 🤗
