These look really nice. Kinda wish they didn't have to have PRP plastered all over the headrest though - kind of takes away from that "factory fit and finish" that makes these appealing in the first place.
I bought these covers and they are NOT as easy to install as Rob makes it look. Magic of editing is real. Takes hours to get these installed. Almost wish I paid someone to do it becuase the install is almost not worth the cost and results. Unfortunately, every auto upholstry shop I called wouldn't touch installing these for less than $750. That's almost as much as the cost of the covers. They must know the level of effort.
After only a few months they are beginning to lose their finish. PRP refuses to respond. There are much cheaper and better options. Such a disappointment. . . Bestop ruined PRP.
@@n3tfury The color/coating to the color begins to come off. I've had Walmart seat covers in my first car that held up better. These had bad wear in two months of light use and they didn't care.
Can the factory seat heaters work with these? If I order a sport model but order the PRP seat covers for a rubicon, can I just add the Molle panel from Mopar ?
The factory seat heaters will work perfectly. You cannot simply add the MOLLE Panel on to a Sport Model seat. In the video at 3:48, watch as Rob removes the MOLLE panel and you can see the Rubicon seat has no upholstry behind the panel because of how it clips into place. The PRP covers have the cut outs for the clips of the panel to protrude through and clip into the inner seat frame. We're not positive if you could make the cuts in your factory upholstery to allow for the panel to be added, you would have to take that risk on your own.
FYI Just tried calling quadretec to order a custom color build on these seat covers. Turns out they don't actually give you the option to customize like promised @ 17:03
I really enjoy watching you mod your gladiator out. I look forward to what you have to come. Also, really loved the chopped led turn signals. Can't wait until they hit the market.
The headlights are the Oracle Oculus 9" Bi-LED Headlights available here - www.quadratec.com/p/oracle-lighting/oculus-bi-led-projector-headlights-jeep-wrangler-jl? You can find all the mods Rob has added to his JT on his build page here - www.quadratec.com/c/build-up/robs-2020-gladiator-rubicon-jt?
I really like this covers but the web page does not have this option, just black and red and is not what I want, are the red one going to be available soon??
Really good video Rob, I just finished my install on my 2020 Gladiator. They look as good as yours. One problem, now I have a “service airbag warning”. Yes I plugged them back up. Any suggestions?
nice radio...waaaaaaay to pricy. Now the PRP seat covers...one day. Jeep fund jar is being used to upgrade the 3rd base radio Jeep has replaced and it still acts up. Would like to get those seat covers in a dark tan with orange stitching, would match the orange dials on the instrument cluster
Like everything except the material. Vinyl+Texas heat=HOT HOT HOT!!!! I leave my roof off the majority of the time, so it would be a problem. Any word on neoprene or other material being made available?
Custom fit? I received half order (rear covers only) and within the order got a front passenger side bottom cover instead of rear 60% top cover. The driver’s side rear headrest hole for adjustment was on the wrong side; or was it just 2 passenger headrest covers? My half order is being returned; not a happy camper.
I'm about to pull the trigger on this but i have one concern. I live in Texas and when i have the Jeep naked in the summer are these going to absorb the heat so much you can't sit down right away? anyone have experience with this?
Can you guys put the Sahara name that's on the front driver and passenger seat onto these seat covers? I really would like to keep the look of having the gold Sahara lettering on the seats.
I don’t have a JT but I go to sleep watching this stuff! Lol!* FYI, only the JT with leather interior comes with the rear factory fold down center arm rest!
Hi Rob - What tool do you use to remove the front driver seat? I am having difficult time to remove the screw in the front toward the inside closer to the shift lever.
Jealous of all of the upgrades y’all have been doing to th JT lately. I have thought about swapping my wet okole front covers to PRP. I’d be curious though with the Corbeau seats if it would just be better to get those seats versus investing into more seat covers since in ways I haven’t liked how the seats felt(both front and rear.
The factory seats have side air bags in the JL and JT, so just be aware that you'll be losing those if you install a replacement seat, instead of seat covers. Depending on where you live, removing a factory airbag may not be legal for use on public roadways.
Quadratec didn’t think about that. PRP I’ve heard and seen as basically reupholstering of the seats. The back seat would be nice to make it a bit more comfortable for the longer drives. My kids still are in car seats but as they get older I imagine that will be the complaint.
Not at all! Rob was using them with the doors off on a couple cold morning drives and the seat heaters still worked just as well as they did originally.
Yes! I use a Pelican Protector phone case with their EMS (easy mount system) built it. It's basically a magnetic phone mount that supports wireless charging. I just modified the mount with a RAM ball to work with my CMM grab bar ball mount.
@@rob_quadratec thanks for the reply JT is coming along nicely.

Even though it's only cloth seats? They breath and are much better than leather in Arizona heat. They are also better at holding you in place when 4 wheeling. Treat that leather and head out 4 wheelin and you had better have your seat belt on or your ass will be all over the place. And since it's only cloth seats then why would someone pay such an exorbitant price for just naugahyde or plastic non breathable crap that makes you sweat so bad you look like you pissed your pants. I've been offered deals with leather for no extra money and turned it down. Leathers nice in some situations but horrible in a lot of others. Ever been traveling and have to sleep on leather? It's either freezing cold or making you sweat. No thanks cloth all the way.
Thanks for the reply! I have a 2020 Launch with factory leather. Would these be ok long term over the factory leather? What type of prep work/maintenance would be needed for the leather seats under the covers? Occasional removal for conditioning?
