Don't forget, the vita 1000 had hall effect sticks, which never drift. Although the 2000 looks much nicer.

Just bought a A vita 2000, so excited! Me personally I prefer a lighter feel as well as a Matt finish, so still ended up going with the 2000

For people still on the fence. One thing to consider for the 1000 is that even though it is an OLED screen, it's from 2012 and isn't as good of quality as modern OLED screens that you might be used to today. Honestly side by side it's very hard to tell the difference between the older OLED and the newer 2000's LCD screen. The look and feel of the 1000 also feels very premium but honestly the extra weight and glossy finish doesn't help with long sessions, it's much easier to use a lighter console with a grippier matte finish for extended periods of time in my opinion. Overall the 1000 feels more premium, and 2000 feels more practical, both are great systems.

Also, the 2000 sells gloss finish as opposed to matte as well.

The 1000 is my favourite. The OLED screen is genuinely so gorgeous and feels like the best handheld for me personally!

PS Vita 1000 is the original, 2000 is the slim

Just do everyone knows PSVita 1000 actually has internal 1 GB as well. Sony kept it locked and when I modded mine I got 1.02GB on my 1000 model.

The oled is nice, but apparently very prone to screen burn. Mine has a slight orange stain at the bottom of it. That’s only really noticeable when it turned off, but it’s still very annoying. So I ordered a 2000 because my OCD couldn’t take it anymore. 😅

I had a psvita 1000 a year ago. Now i have a ps vita 2000 ffx with 1tb sd card Lots of fun on the 2000 The 1000 does have a better screen. I like them both the same and they are so easy to modify

The back touchscreen has third party apps that you can reassign any button to like a xbox elite controller but only 2 paddles on the back not 4

idk why everyone says the launch price was the issue when both the 3ds and vita launched for $249 with the vita launching about 10 months later, the memory cards though....

Yeah, but 3DS got a more significant price cut, and a couple years before the Vita got one. So for most of their early years, the 3DS was cheaper.

@@aneasteregg8171true but the ps vita is 10 time more powerful and have a good screen almost hd compared to the 3ds screen. If you consider how much better the hardware is on the ps vita then the price of it was extreme cheap compared to a 3ds

4th reason th d PS Vita didn't do well, the price of the proprietary memory card. I recently bought both of them and jailbreak both. Each have over 70 games, and I got L2R2 and L3R3 triggers for both.

Not to mention the 1000 has Hall effect joysticks(magnetic), so there is no contact…and no stick drift ever.

Oh yeah another bit to keep in mind a 1000 is technically speaking best for modding which helps deal w/ the memory card issue. It's got the largest amount of support (2000 isn't bad still larger battery is a definite consideration and largely drives down to preference plus use case).

When selling a psvita in a game store the pay double for the OLED psvita then the slim ...they paid me 110 for the slim and 200$ for the oled

Bruh no the OLED is not twice as worth. You got with the ps vita slim a bad deal and with the oled a very good. OLED: 150-180 slim: 120-150. or maybe the condition of your ps vita 1000 was perfect. This is very rare much rarer then a perfect condition ps vita slim because the 1000 model is 3 years older and the oled screen can get burn in relative easily. Especially over long time of playing. I did get a 1000 ps vita in perfect condition for only 70€. I don’t think that 1000 are much more expensive

He lied about so many things here. The PSVita itself was cheap, the memory cards were expenside, the PSvita 2000 has less wieght than the 1000, and that it a fact.

Yeah Sony did lose money because they were selling them so cheap the reason why the memory cards were so expensive is because to get the money back they did lose because of the vita. If the consoles are new then Sony often loses money in first place it gets the money back because of games and after a few years the electronics are cheaper for them so then they do make money whith the console

Your info about batteries is not correct. 1000 w/wifi has better battery life because it has an OLED screen. Turning off LEDS for "true blacks" saves a lot of energy. If you have the 3G model, your argument is correct. 2000 model has worst battery life by two reasons: LCD screen and internal memory (1GB draining battery while vita is turned on).
