Do you have a link for your other video involving reapplying the thermal paste? I want to have a rough idea of what to do before I start ordering tools and parts.
This video is out of order. Putting a washer on your PS4 is going to make it worse! The APU needs REBALLING, not a tiny washer putting even more uneven pressure on the solder balls to make it rip traces up as time goes on. Not to mention warping the motherboard so it ends up beyond repair when the console does die again... AND IT WILL!
This is a common issue with alot of consoles. It gets hot and sometimes one or more of the solder balls looses connection. If this doesn't happen to work then it needs to be re ball'd. This fix should be considered temporary although you may get lucky and have it last a long time. If this happens to you I strongly suggest adding new thermal paste along with your repair.
@@freshprince2.0 what your seeing here is not a fix and 90% of the time the console has been dropped and what happens is the apu the chip ends up with no connection to the board and sometimes inside the apu gets damaged if it's a solder joint it need removed and solder back down and that doesn't always work but what your seeing here is not a fix even if it works its still not a fix not a damn thing was repaired all your seeing is bs from youtubers that usually cause a young person to break there stuff beyond being repaired
Mine started acting up again today, do I replace the washers with new ones, only need this ps4 to work till next month when I get a ps5, also have a disc currently in the ps4
Thanks man I had to use 2 washers but worked like a charm when I put the second one in. Subscribed and liked, I was going to get the kit shown in the video but seen it after I bought a different one.
Look, i know that fix works most of the time but the ps4 you fixed and the one you turned on at the end looks like 2 differnet consoles. The one at the end of the video looks white but can probably be the lighting however that one has a chip on the front panel and the black one you were working on did not. HONESTLY I am not a hater just feel like your initial fix on the first part of your video did not work?

Yea I have one of the first versions of the PS4 and this is what’s happening like it won’t turn white . And last time I tried dis it didn’t work because I have the different version that looks just like the inside of the pro so ama do the same thing u did and hopefully it does cus I’ve tried everything and my ps4 is the last thing I wanna lose 😭
I have tried this method twice and my PS4 still has the Blue Light Of Death, is their any other option I can try? I have a lot of stuff on my PS4 I don't want to lose and I'd be willing to buy a new one as long as I can save all of my old stuff to a backup save.
I have a PS4 that turns on and the fan revs up getting faster and faster to full speed then the console just shuts off and beeps. Hey biggie biggie can't you see, sometimes your words just hypnotize me.
@@fasttechvideo Also there was no signal when plugged into the TV. And yes I had it on the right input. Would that be that the TV I tried it on wasn't 4K or will the system just choose 1080?

What if is just blue doesnt flash turns off after few seconds doesnt beep when turns off. doesnt beep twice when power button held i found vape juice on my ps4 pro dont know how got on board ive cleaned useing cotton is no burnt board or no burnt solder no burnt chips was alot of burnt juice not turning backon hanging until can afford to purchase component cleaner & give it a isopropyl alcohol bath & spray after useing component cleaner probs wasted money afterwards i dont know
What do you call the plastic cover with washer that you screwed on the heat sync cover? Also are those washers made of metal? Aluminum or stainless steel
Mine still has the BLOD does that mean I have to add the 2nd washer. Also my ps4 had a damn heat shield on it! Do any of you know how stressful it is getting it off? It feels like you’re doing surgery on an organ!
After I changed the thermal paste I reassembled it and when I turned it on there was a bip and the blue light turn on but after 2 or 3 seconds it turned off and I don’t know what to do, I’ve also noticed that the power supply was a stuck
They gave me a bag of washers like 100 pack!!! I have two questions for fast tech!! 1. Is it bad to use a three prong cable even though PlayStation only had two prongs on back of ps4 pro? 2. When I take the top of my ps4 off and the tin metal with all the screws my area where you put washers looks different than yours in video? Is that ok? Can you explain why it work ? I Mean, the more tuto i look, the more it's confusing. Why some says that you must not tide te screw to much and other said the opposite ? How this affect the CPU ?

Hey I have a different problem. My ps starts with the "checking system storage status", it completes that and then restarts with the blue light of death. I tried reinitializing from safe mode(it starts in safe mode) and it just restarts and give me the BLOD again. What do I do?
Bro same. I’m able to sometimes play the console, but it’s a never ending cycle of what you explained. Some days it works, some days it doesn’t. I’m fixing to go to Harbour Freights and get the tools, and if it fixes the console by the time I’m done. I’ll let you know!
@@orangehilo9414 did you try to reset to factory settings..it will remove all saved data tho.so do a save on cloud or other HD. but i would try to swap out the hard drive .with a 1tb..uograde.
Problem is these companies skimp on cooling. Had Microsoft put a bigger cooler on the OG 360 the RROD wouldn't be a thing. Same with Sony and the PS3/PS4. Wish these companies would add fan adjustment in the settings, but have a minimum so people don't burn their systems up. I don't mind a little noise if my system stays cool.
3 weeks ago during weekend I was playing a lot of PS4 Pro, and it turned off itself. I had this problem that the blue light turned on only once. I did this process, and it solved temporary the problem. Now, two weeks later, I was also playing a lot during weekend, and same thing happened. I tried to repeat, but this time it doesn't turn on. I tried 2 washers and still has not worked it beeps for 1 second light turns blue on for one second and then turns off automatically after that one second i need some help please anyone?
I've got this model and some days i'll turn on the ps4 and it beeps, blue light flashes then turns off immediately. I'll leave it for about 15-20 hours and it works for a while. Is this still considered BLOFD? I cleaned out the air filter and replaced the thermite paste like instructed in the other video, the only thing I haven't tried is putting these washers on. In my case do you really think this idea would be effective? I dont want to buy this whole kit and waste my money. This has been draining enough dealing with this crap.
Guess I better clean out my Pro and swap thermal paste again to AVOID this. Its been over a year since I watched one of you're videos to help me take apart my pro and clean the fan and swap thermal paste and man is was SUPER QUIET for about a year. Also my Pro is the day 1 release with the loudest fan. Highly recommend cleaning your Ps4 or Ps4 pro out at least once a year and the fan too and cleaning and adding new paste. Last time I used Arctic Silver 5. Might use that again or maybe the Grizzly brand.
