I feel like it’s about time where we start incorporating back buttons as natural buttons. Like give the devs the option to use them as a seperate button instead of using it as a remap able button. Games are becoming more complex where we’re starting to run out of buttons.
I would probably get this if the price is reasonable. I play on PC with a DS5 but some extra buttons would be great, especially for Rocket League. You deserve way more subs mate! Great content
Back buttons are starting to be a necessity, I'm having problems with my thumbs from using R/L (R3/L3) constantly, pressing down the sticks in all different angles is not very ergonomic..
The back buttons alone make this worth it. I hate games that use the analog sticks for movement AND use the L3 and R3 triggers (The Ascent comes to mind). Leads to a lot of accidentally presses. Remapping L3 and R3 to back buttons is outstanding. Obviously this is not new technology considering back buttons kits were available about a couple of months after the PS5 release, but I don’t want to to have to manually modify my controller, since I have an irrational fear of bricking my console. I agree that there should have been 4 back buttons though. I wonder if some games will require an Edge controller by needing the back buttons in addition to L3 and R3 functions…🤔
Replaceable analog sticks is where it's at, gonna get a Thrustmaster eSwap S soon just to have this. Only reason I haven't yet is that every time I check Thrustmaster's store the swappable sticks are out of stock, which defeats the entire purpose.
@@murph1414 True, as it stands, the DualSense Edge already has all of the next-gen features of the DualSense *(which imo already beats out the standard Xbox Series X|S controller)* and it’s both on par with but also a step ahead of the Elite Series 2 in some regards *(removable stick modules).* 4 back buttons would be a highlight addition of a potential DualSense Edge 2. Although, despite me having an Elite Series 2 *(love this controller)* and using all 4 of its paddles, I wish the DualSense Edge had the option of 4 as well. However, it also makes me question Sony’s decision and wonder just how necessary 4 paddles/buttons truly is?
Yeah I'd absolutely bet you'll can use it on PC. I'd be astonished if not. And also if this happens there will be third party software comes out anyway i'd imagine to allow it to do it's thing!
I hear Scottish I sub simple as... on a serious note the pro controller could be a good thing with regards to the swappable analog modules... i could open up a market for 3rd party companies like Razer, SteelSeries or Thrustmeter to make parts for it... its just a thought Edit if you look below the analog stick you will notice to bumps (where you finger naturally sits under them) looks like 2 additional buttons so there should be 4 rear buttons
Haha there's a business idea in itself!! They all need modular ones to be honest given that stick drift is by FAR the worst thing about controllers in general. Hmm still looking at it I can't see the placement of them there making sense. Those look like, depending on the size of the thing, you'd use ring fingers? Or even take thumbs off the sticks? Both not great I don't think!! Time will tell! Thanks for the sub as well mate
@@Sr2Media It says "thoughts/review, excited?" Jfk was half alien and had clones filled with custard? The question mark absolves you of any baiting accusations, totally in the clear laddy....good move.
